Qualifying

The top 2,097,152 scorers in Gameweek 17 will enter the first round. If there are more than 2,097,152 qualifiers then there will be a random draw amongst the lowest scorers to see who qualifies.

How the cup works

Each qualifying team will be randomly drawn against another in the first round. The winner (the team with the highest Gameweek score minus any transfer points), will progress to the second round and another random draw, the losers are out! This process continues until the final round when the two remaining teams contest the cup final.

If a cup match is drawn, then the following tie-breaks will be applied until a winner is found:

Most goals scored in the Gameweek
Fewest goals conceded in the Gameweek
Virtual coin toss

So, are you one of the top 2,097,152 scorers for gameweek 17? If so, congratulations you've made it to the first round of the Fantasy Cup ;)

I thought we could make a list of everyone through until the last FISOer?

;

There's already a thread on this comp: fantasy-cup-t91861.html

However, if you really want to make a list, i suggest for this early round, only those not qualifying should confess their shocking performance.

Agreed. I think the cut-off is around 41 points so surely everyone in the FISO league is through? :?

Opponents are up. I nearly always get knocked out in the first round, but I've got a good feeling about this: my opponent has captained Gyan all season...

My opponent hasn't made a transfer since gameweek 5, but happens to have Suarez, Downing, and Adam, which now leaves me absolutely terrified of a large Liverpool victory

Against somebody who is 1,000,000-ish, but has a decent team and has actually scored more than me this GW. We have 6-7 same players so it would be about captaincy choice and 2-3 individual performances.

going against a decent squad, but he doesnt have: RVP, Silva, or Nani. His only differential against me i'm worried about is Rooney.

Shockingly enough I'm currently getting beaten 25 - 15, if you take into account auto-subs. He has five non-playing players

He only has Djourou and Benayoun :!: left to play, and theoretically RVP (c), Ade, Bale, N Taylor and Vorm should be enough to take the win, but my 15 from 6 yesterday has sent a chill down my spine

The most depressing part about getting knocked out of the cup by an abandoned team is that your opponent will neither know nor care about it

My opponent has only ever made one transfer back in GW4. I'm going to go through despite him having eleven players on the pitch. However he had a front line of Rooney(c) and Hernandez and with any normal 5-0 win for Manchester United that should have been game over for me. Looks like I got lucky this time.

Refer to the poor sod getting pummelled 81-5 by this week's current top scorer.

I'm going to lose to a team that's never made a transfer and has only once broken the top million in any GW, apart from this one of course.

He has Gyan up front, but his inspired pick of Park (11 points) and Maxi (7), Zabaletta (6) Bale capt will beat me despite my reasonable week. Good, concentrate on the league etc.

22-28 behind...

So boils down to:

Vorm, Van der Vaart, Adebayor and Van Perise vs Sinclair, Hoolahan, Holt and Bothroyd

Easy...

I'm against an abandoned team. Including the subs that he will be getting he's currently on 22 from 7, but he has captained RVP and has Rosicky, possibly Defoe, Dobbie and Pilkington to go.

I should make it but will be potenitally quite close.

As an Ipswich fan, I'm pretty gutted to be losing 15-22 to a team called The Ruel Fox Fanclub

His team is now abandoned, having made transfers in GW6 and a WC in GW10. We only have 1 player in common in our whole squads - Adebayor. He captained Hart for a nice 12 pts so I need RVP to hurry up and score. A Swansea CS would be very nice for me.

In the lead 20-18.

My Bale-X vs Young(SWA)-Allen

(we both have VDV(c) and Vorm)

X = Jones didn't play, I have Taylor as 1st sub (doubtful) and Simspon as 2nd
