Ok, today's totally pointless food and drink poll concentrates on your preferred hot beverage!

Coffee and tea with an occassional mint tea!

Coffee just wins as it covers everything from cappucinos to espressoes. Instant is vile though but then so is instant (powdered) tea.

Nowt wrong with hot chocolate (especially as a mid morning 'pick me up' when skiing, provided rum is added)

Is mocha coffee or hot chocolate fo the purposes of the poll :?:

imo Gold Blend is the only vaguely drinkable instant coffee.

Everything else is muck!

That one, if I have to give it too much thought, will make my brain explode.

For the purpose of the poll, let's call it coffee :?

I voted coffee but it has to be good coffee. Good coffee is the best hot drink in the world, bad coffee is the worst hot drink in the world. Don't like tea, hot chocolate, bovril, ovaltine, oxo or any other hot drink. I love the smell of some herbal teas but they just taste like hot water poured into a dirty cup.

What happened to yesterdays pointless preference thread? I waited up until midnight. :)

I firmly believe that all fruit teas smell absolutely gorgeous. But all taste exactly the same. Not pleasant!

Coffee is the way forward, can't beat a nice Grade 5 Tesco Java at 10am daily ;-) My boss was VERY accommodating in purchasing us a coffee maker :)

Yes, unless it's tomato

I don't eat hot dogs with a fork either. :P

Perhaps thin soups or cuppa soups are a hybrid.

All forms of coffee taste vile to me. Nice smell, hideous taste. Don't get me stated on that shite doled out from starbucks, after not trying coffee for about 6 years the missus got me to taste some she got the other week with all the extra crap they stick in it - I almost threw it back at her.

Costa are very consistant and certainly better than Starbucks. I prefer Cafe Nero but it does depend on the barrista, at our local there are a couple of very pleasant looking ladies who are very friendly and helpful but you always get the best coffee from this bloke who is really a psycho villian from Scooby Doo. Coffee republic was also very nice and I was sad wnen they dissapeared.

I prefer cafe nero if I have a choice, but I don't seem to go anywhere that has them. Yeovil do, but since the mrs moved to live with me we don't go there anymore.

We have a Starbucks and a Costa in town (as well as a place that serves Ili (sp)). Costa far more superior.

Cafe Nero often win the blind taste tests. I'd put Costa second and Starbucks third of the three.

Seems a common opinion.....
