Move over FISO 5AS, Step aside TFF, FPL - bah, FISODAS? - a mere bagatelle.

There is only one true test of fantasy skill and that pitches man or woman against the sharpest of their peers in search of the one coveted title under the banner that is FISO.

Yes folks Fantasy Advent Calendar 2011 is back. :D :D :D

Following a trip to my local "set-up-in-what-used-to-be-a-pine-emporium-for-a-while" Christmas themed store I am in possession of this years calendar. Never has a pound looked so poor value. For some reason this caused lots of confusion a few years ago - yes - I actually physically have a calendar - which I will open each morning. It's blue.

This is the 3rd year the game has run, Pa taking over the reins last year due to me being on holiday - and what a sterling job he did to. 2009's highlights saw Sted actually getting into contact with the artist who drew the calendar

The rules could not be more simple, heck Murf secured back to back titles - they aint difficult. What they are though is "fluid".

The rules

You choose 24 expected behind door revalations.

1 Point if your choice comes in over the 24 days
2 Points if your choice matches exactly what's behind the door that particular day
3 Points if you get the Christmas Eve selection spot on

The winner will receive a fantasic* prize - to be announced

Daily updates will be provided - along with photo's of the revalations.

Points can also be gained along the way from a plethora of side games and challenges and points can be won and lost along the way at my discretion, a discretion excercised in a manner which would make Mau Tse Tung look like Watt Tyler.

This is the 3rd year the game has run, Pa taking over the reins last year due to me being on holiday - and what a sterling job he did to. 2009's highlights saw Sted actually getting into contact with the artist who drew the calendar

It's supposed to be a bit of fun, what better way to kill those pre Christmas hours in the office. Rumour has it that the promise of this game running is what brought Shaggy365 out of FISO retirment.

Links for the 2009 and the 2010 game.

Deadline

Midnight 30 November 2011

Good luck all.

Here it is!

Overwhelming really - I like the way the artist has moved away from the convention if spreading the doors around the calendar and has instead gone for cramming them into the top half.

Actually its hard to convey the quality of the calendar using mere photo's.

I am suprised the artist has not been approached to design an Olympic poster.

It's still in its cellophane and will remain so until the 1st so I cannot be accused of cheating :D

It is the best fantasy game in the world.

We just have to hope the selected calendar is worthy of its role.

Ah memories.

It's what Christmas is all about (oh, and Jesus).

I've just had a read of the previous threads and they were chuckleharious (and Pa's had a few scantily clad ladies)

My crush on Jane Ray was re-ignited and it seems that we have helped her to (somewhat limited) fame through these boards.

http://www.janeray.com/

I'd even say she was quite a hotty.

Image

Anyway, I was going to do some research on what might come up this year, because it surely can't be the same every bloody year, but was sidetracked for an hour by Pa's game last season

http://www.miniclip.com/games/deep-freeze/en/

(142,000 is my score btw)

Let the battle commence.

It's just occurred to me that since a) Knuls operates on the tried and tested BBC gameshow scoring system, and b) Knul was disgraced by me with a GW3 exit from the Apprentice, my chances of winning this are slim to eff all.

Shame there is not a 25th day - where you could have listed lost hope / despair.

The "slightly" and I use slightly in a way which suggests exactly the opposite, worrying thing is that I am not at all sure any of this is made up. I suggest that Sted is allowed another entry and this one is preserved for posterity - who knows - if the artist of this year's calendar is a slightly physcopathic loon - we may have the winning entry.

2 carrier bags :?

It's just occurred to me that since a) Knuls operates on the tried and tested BBC gameshow scoring system, and b) Knul was disgraced by me with a GW3 exit from the Apprentice, my chances of winning this are slim to eff all.

Not at all - I am not the kind of organiser that would hold against someone either the fact that they run rubbish sidegames or the fact they use annoying abbreviations - eh Tac'y?

Charity work at Christmas time - that is the kind of thing that could earn you a bonus point :D

But not quite.

Bit more thought this time Alchemist!

Made me revisit some of my choices that's for sure - interesting that both you and Sted have plumped for fags - makes me wonder if someone knows something.
