I got 4, 2 were guesses, 1 was half a guess, knew one.

It is all about US TV really and fairly obscure (to us) stuff at that!

I got 4 also. I knew the Office, half guessed the quiz show and competely guessed Cosby and Are you being served.

Does anyone else get irritated by the fact that American TV companies feel the need to 'remake' successful British programs with American actors and locations? :x

We generally don't do that with their programs. There might be the odd example but most successful US shows are just shown as they are (reality and quiz shows don't count for obvious reasons). I enjoy many US programs including a lot of comedies which are probably the program type most vulnerable to not translating to a different culture. So why can't they just enjoy ours in their original form?

Are mainstream American audiences that narrow-minded that they can't relate to a drama/comedy involving people living in a different country talking with slightly different accents? :?

I'm particularly interested in what US FISOers think?

(BTW did anyone watch 'Episodes' the other night? It's a British comedy about a British series being remade for US TV?)

Was about to mention that after reading the rest of your post!

Sky+'d it but yet to watch it.

It is British but is (co?)written by somebody behind Friends and stars Matt Le Blanc (+ Brits). The idea is the British team go to the states and have MLB foisted on them for their series.

The 2 main Brits are the curly haired bloke and short haired woman from the Green Wing. They play a British couple who've written an award winning sitcom set in a top public school, starring an elderly, overweight, posh British actor as the headmaster.

The US producers want to remake it with MLB as the headmaster...
