Based on squad today:

howard

neville Jagielka Distin Baines

Heitinga

Osman Cahill Felliani Arteta

Saha

The above if all are fit. Points of note:

Neville - usually starts either RB or holding mid. Moyes likes to have him start since it gives him flexibility to move him when doing substitutions (e.g. he may start with hibbert at RB and Neville as holding mid and if we are behind, will take hibbert off nd move neville to RB (or 3 at back).
Defence - apart from RB its pretty much nailed on injuries permitting
Mid - i havent put rodwell in since he doesnt start if everyone is fit. last year there were injuries to cahill, arteta and felliani so rods got more games - he will still make plenty of sub appearances. Ihave Osman instead of Coleman since he ended last seasn much more strongly.Coleman is one to consider at TW2 or 3 as injuries start to mount.
Strikers - Saha will start if fit - problem is he is not fit that often - in which case beckford is your man.

Also, get rid of any player that is playing really well at next TW since he will get a long term injury.

Likely to stick to 451 (4141)

By his own admission Neville's age has started to get the better of him - so Coleman will get more play in the RB role (after readings Moyes's recent appraisal of him). Not good for FF managers, good for Everton fans (got to be better bet than Hibbert).

Neville still likely to captain/start, but subbed and could be pushed ahead of the rest of the nailed on back four - Jag, Distin, Baines.

Hettinga as cover in any defensive role.

Arteta set to stay in the deeper of a central/distribution role again, sadly (he's still chief on spot kicks tho, and expect far less from Baines on set pieces too, IF he stays fit). Cahill and Fellaini playing ahead of him, with any of Osman, Rodwell and Bilyaletdinov playing in the wider roles.

1 up front - Saha Or Beckford - depends on injuries. Anichibe, Yak and Gueye as foward subs.

So really the only hint of difference in the teams shape will be Coleman as RB.

One's to watch: Baxter (FWD) and Duffy (DF) - both promising youngsters blooded from bench last season.

Sounds like avoiding Arteta is a good idea again this season. :x

Not if he's fit. I still think could top Everton's charts - assists, penalties, bonii but less goals than in previous years. I think the more he plays the more Baines' points will diminish so could be a cheeky differential. Fitness is the worry. His FF price isn't.

Rumour on Radio 5 Live last night was that Leicester were lining up a bid for Beckford - if there is a scintila of truth may see him not featurte at the weekend.

Indie also reported on it as re-buffed - but it's being mooted as a possible.

Cahil should be back, Distan will be back, and Saha should start up top.

Saha has an excellent record against Blackburn. What are the chances of him starting tomorrow? I've been reading through a few Everton forums and he's in most people's predicted lineups but I also discovered that he may be short of fitness.

Live on Sky 434 (LFC TV) at the moment. Still 0-0. No senior players in Liverpool team (unless you count Brad Jones or Suso)
