Im sure there's some seasoned professionals out there who are starting to contemplate the impact of europa Games, and how this may sway their thinking in player selection.

Coupled with the fact that either United or city will exit the FA Cup.

Im basing this on an assumption most top sun teams have a large percentage of city / united players in their team.

two players who may come recognition in the next TW window;
Adam Johnson starting to get more game time in PL and potentially a starter in Europa games. Or Zabaellta

For United will berba a be risky gamble.

From a overall strategy perspective i suppose it all depends how United / City priortize the europa league. My current thinking is that whoever wins the FA Cup tie may field weaker teams in europa.

What's your thoughts / assessments on europa competition and how this will impact your sun dream team.

thanks

I dont think it comes into it too much.

Both teams will be fielding half/half teams.

For City that might mean the players you mentioned getting a game... but they will largely be warming the bench in between (so not sure a couple of appearances a month is enough to twist my arm).

If a team goes all the way to the final of the Europa, they will have 9 games. So someone like Rooney could figure in 4 of them. I think for Arsenal to get to the CL final, they have a maximum of 7 games (might be wrong on that). Will Van Persie play all 7? Possibly, but it would mean being rested for league games (before or after). So its swings and roundabouts.

You are true Jedi at this game.
Very insightful comments.

Adam Johnson may be a player of worthy note though. If you can use him to downgrade Silva, Nani to get a RVP, Rooney front combo without jeopardising your team in anyway.

Yeh, quite possibly.

But for me, Johnson is one of them that will have a couple of decent games then you wont see him for 4 weeks.

He is one though that could easily hit 13 or 18 points in a game and you'd kick yourself for not having him.

Personally, I'm a steady eddie and much prefer a nice 5 points per game ticking over from Silva.

As you rightly say though, the lure of affording a big scoring RvP might be too much to avoid. But even then - i'd be more inclined to go for a Ramsey, Mata, Dempsey type that you know is going to play more often than not (granted, every man and his dog already has these types).
