You probably never played before.You would understand once you play.
Because it's difficult to know who is playing for Slovenia, Romania, Latvia etc.You usually end up plenty of players not playing and you definitely need some bench players to cover them up.But of course if you are very confident with your European Football knowledge than you can pick bench players from minimum price and gives you good budget for your first 11.

Finally got round to looking at this properly, instead of just picking an 'Auto-pick' entry. It all started off really well, but after a while I realised I had £15m to pick 8 players.

Nobody is forcing you to play the game. If you don't like it, then don't play.

Yes, it's hard to pick a team, but it's just as hard for everyone playing the game (unless you fancy Faroe Islands & San Marino to do well).
