I receive quite a few video clips from mates which are always sent to me as an attachment. They download to my email quickly and if I like one I save it, but my problem arises when I then try and forward it to someone else.

If I write an Email and try and send the video I saved as an attachment it sits in my outbox for ages, and sometimes it has only reached about 17% after 20mts ? so what am I doing wrong :?

No idea but have you tried just forwarding the original e-mail rather than starting a new mail with the file being drawn from your computer directory?

Upload speeds (so sending an email) are far lower (up to 20x) than download speeds (receiving an email), which might explain it.

Most emails are very small, so you don't notice the difference. Videos tend to be quite large, so the difference will be quite noticable.

I still can't send any attachments, although I can receive them without any problem. I emailed Incredimail, my email hosts about it and they sent me this message (I use Windows XP)

Hello John,

Thank you for contacting our Support team. I will do my best to assist you.

If you are unable to send email with attached files, please follow these steps:

Right-click the IncrediMail Tray Icon (orange envelope), located in the lower right corner (near the computer clock), and select 'Exit'.

Windows 2000 or XP users: Browse to the following locations and delete all the files you find there:
C:\WINNT\Temp
C:\Documents and Settings\Profile Name (Logon Name)\Local Settings\Temp C:\Documents and Settings\Profile Name (Logon Name)\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

Note: If you cannot view the 'Local Settings' folder, click here.

Open IncrediMail again and try to send email with attachments

When I clickon 'here' I get this Window

I get as far as the 'View' tab, but I can't see 'Show hidden files and folders' option in the 'Hidden files and folders' section. Is there another way I can get into my 'hidden files and folders' ?

The show hidden files and folders is already green so just click OK then follow the other instructions they gave.
Alternatively Zip it.

Or use a file sharing website as suggested here?

I can't follow the other instructions because I can't see where these files are that I'm supposed to delete :?

C:\WINNT\Temp

C:\Documents and Settings\Profile Name (Logon Name)\Local Settings\Temp

C:\Documents and Settings\Profile Name (Logon Name)\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

I don't know if this had any bearing on the issue but I downloaded CCleaner and did a complete scan and removed the issues it flagged up. When I later checked my email the message with the attachment that was stuck in my outbox had been sent. :?
