Polls can be handy to see how people are thinking generally, quite a straightforward question.

It is looking like quite a conclusive result even if you don't get anymore votes!

40%+ of over 100 would say more than 60% of 20 odd though.

Hi there guys,

Really interesting poll there and thank you to the person who has put that together, it really helps us to understand where we are going wrong and what we have to improve (a lot by many of the posts we've seen).

We used sQuid as was they had the reputation of working on the Oyster card system, and we thought they would be able to manage the wallet system in the most dynamic way allowing you, "The User" the ability to draw out funds as and when you win them. Not all of you may want to wait for your the end of the season for that 5 grand monthly prize. Say the head gasket goes on the car, you may want access to your hard earned cash, so we thought this the best solution.

However:
Should you not wish to use sQuid, please let us know by contacting us at vip@silentmanager.co.uk and we can arrange a direct transfer or arrange somebody to call you to discuss other ways of paying.

Once again, thank you for your patience.

Thanks,
SM

One hopefully will not have to wait for winnings anyway, certainly not till the season's end.
Nonetheless commonsense has in part prevailed and well done to SM for this.
I still think numbers would be far higher if a normal payment option was made available and the interface was suitably altered.
The transfers anytime will also see a big reduction in multi entrants as changes will be unmanageable on a grand scale. With the Saturday deadline this was not such a problem. (Not necessarily a bad thing for the casual player...but bad for The Mirror and SM.

As a point of interest, since along with most people playing this game I had never heard of sQuid before YtM made it the mandatory payment method to be used, when I opened my sQuid a/c I requested one of the sQuid pink cards, assuming that retailers would be installing the card readers everywhere in due course and I was curious how they would be received by the public,as they seemed much risker if lost/stolen than debit or credit cards for which pin numbers are required to be able to use them .

However,I received a polite e-mail reply informing me that sQuid cards can presently only be used in Bolton,Thames Ditton and parts of Scotland

Well if you win first prize you could afford a house in Bolton or most of Scotland. Or we could all go out for a round or two of beers in Thames Ditton....
