Fair point's, I don't disagree with much of what you say.
I like both Zlatan and Eto'o but the other 4 are in another league.
Eto'o scores loads as you say, but who wouldn't have scored goals in Barca's team in the last couple of season's
Drogba is a tool, but who could argue against his inclusion in your list,
but he seems to only play well when it suits him and his first touch is laughable. At best.
Much of what he brings to the table is based on his size.
He's been back to his best this year but is he better than Rooney, for me no chance.
Torres is outstanding but brittle. I want him to stay fit as I'm sick of hearing what-if's from my Liverpool loving Welsh mates.
I'd love him at United and there can be no higher praise, for a Bin-Dipper.
Villa's record for Spain speaks for itself but he's won nowt at Valencia. Look's the part but I can't say I've watched him much.
I've watched a lot of United in the last few years, home and away, and while Ronaldo got the majority of the credit, and goals,
I still thought Rooney was our best player.
Rooney's goals and all-round play this year is of no suprise to me and most of my match going friends. In fact, I believe it was obvious so I backed him to be top scorer in the league.
When he's won 4 in a row and finishes top scorer in the world cup, it'll be
using Martin O'Neill's phrase from the cup final
universally accepted
