Thanks, the prizes have fallen although I'm not sure about the cup game. Typical really as I'm not doing half bad in the main game this season.

I'll take anything at the moment though! :P

Tell me about it,
I was told that 5th last year won the same coin that 1st will get this year.

But, seeing as you and Ironfist are so far in front of me in fpl, then you must be right.

Naah, FPL scores do not count for much. This is a statistics game based on football. And I am reasonable at stats. While in this case, I will be happy to fight Etoo's case, hindsight has proven me wrong in many instances on football issues.

And of course I am from a faraway land (and Ironfist too, I suppose), I wish I would get to watch Rooney play in the flesh. Haven't yet.

btw, mentioning Etoo and Ibramhimovic in the same sentence as the others,
well, that is wrong

Eto'ouch like a baby elephant.

Zlatan has very good first touch BTW. And no, IMHO he is not as good as the others I mentioned, just mentioned him as one of the out and out center forwards.

Etoo scores goals. Loads and loads of them. His appearances-to-goals is amazing. And he also works his socks off for his team. This is Rooney's first major goalscoring season, remember....

Fair point's, I don't disagree with much of what you say.

I like both Zlatan and Eto'o but the other 4 are in another league.
Eto'o scores loads as you say, but who wouldn't have scored goals in Barca's team in the last couple of season's

Drogba is a tool, but who could argue against his inclusion in your list,
but he seems to only play well when it suits him and his first touch is laughable. At best.
Much of what he brings to the table is based on his size.
He's been back to his best this year but is he better than Rooney, for me no chance.

Torres is outstanding but brittle. I want him to stay fit as I'm sick of hearing what-if's from my Liverpool loving Welsh mates.
I'd love him at United and there can be no higher praise, for a Bin-Dipper.
Villa's record for Spain speaks for itself but he's won nowt at Valencia. Look's the part but I can't say I've watched him much.

I've watched a lot of United in the last few years, home and away, and while Ronaldo got the majority of the credit, and goals,
I still thought Rooney was our best player.
Rooney's goals and all-round play this year is of no suprise to me and most of my match going friends. In fact, I believe it was obvious so I backed him to be top scorer in the league.

When he's won 4 in a row and finishes top scorer in the world cup, it'll be
using Martin O'Neill's phrase from the cup final

universally accepted 8-)

Couldn't let go of this one cheeky dig. Rooney's record has started to speak volumes as well, but he's won nowt with England.

You could only do so much with an average team. And neither Villa nor Rooney is Maradona.

And as for your two predictions, the probabilities of those two events are about 33% and 5% respectively. and together, it's about 0.5%. I assure you, Rooney has much more than a 0.5% chance of becoming the best striker in the world in 3 years' time, he is already one of the top few. I am not a fan or anything (I support Arsenal), but one cannot be blind to Rooney's kind of talent.
