Wonder what the odds are of drawing Kaymer, Westwood and Tiger together. I assume it's a random draw isn't it ?

Doubt they're ever random. They'll probably play together, too good a chance to miss.

All "draws" are fixed to a certain extent - in regular tour events, the top players are bracketed and are lumped into several consecutive groups in both morning and afternoon sessions - mainly for TV coverage, I guess.

Some events go a step further (e.g. Kaymer, Westwood and Woods was obviously fixed), while the three Major Champions always go out together in the US PGA Championship.

Then there's the PGA Tour Championship and Dubai World Championship where players go out in reverse order of their FedEx Cup/Race to Dubai ranking.

Thanks for explaining Mr. Green, seems odd though doesn't it. Begs the question, would Westy play better teamed up with so so players or excel playing up against Kaymer and Woods. Guess they don't mind since I've never heard any grumbles from players.

Ouch!

Westwood finishes with a six, whereas Tiger has an eagle three!

Westy still two ahead of him though :D

At least Tiger has the $3m appearance fee* to console himself with :shock:

* alledgedly

Not just the draws that are rigged to an extent. At the Open Tiger always goes out at 9.09 and 14.20.
A bunch of nobodies play in the darkness at the beginning and end of the day.
