I was only really trying to get myself promoted so just did the 'straight bat' sensible moves to ensure it. Fortunately they (especially the Chelsea ones) really paid off and I somehow fouund myself on top and ended up with a healthy margin.

I was stranded at around 56000th at xmas/half way. It wasn't particulary due to over-embracing as I only had 18 transfers for the new year. My charge was just luck with a tad of skill (I hope)

This team also came 17th in Division 7, just 33 points off the money.

Whereas my decline was down to a Bham and Villa defence (should have left Cech and Ivanovic in) coupled with having no transfers to do anything about Fabregas and Rooney. And Modric was poor as well. This was also my only team that didn't have Bale.

Hopefully see you in PL next season.

A quick glance shows that you miss out on the countback (9 points to TT's 11) although if anyone in the Prem doesn't renew next season you'll have first dibs. An evens bet if ever there was one - alternatively you could murder one of the managers, but I suppose that depends on how much you want it
