Hi ya Ashers :)

Yeh, I've not been on here much since the New Year (having found it a struggle balancing work with fantasy footy last season)... Still, having played 9 different fantasy footy games last year in my desperate search for a TFFO replacement (in which I ended up playing no games particularly well LOL)... I’ve now settled on giving OFL all my attention this year and am already itching for the season to start...

You well?

Good stuff Menace!

Interesting… Young MUN 4.9...

Norwich have the lowest priced players in all positions...
And Chelsea the most expensive bar Tevez!
(So the first pointless facts of the season go to me!)

Never played OFL before, but have heard from certain FISO members that it is a good game. Can someone sell it to me, what makes it better than other paying games out there? :)

Yeah good, also trying to find TFFO replacement. I have SDT for my no nonsense game, but need TFFO for tinkering.

OFL is going to get my attention this year, after learning loads from last season.

1) Squad based game
2) Prizes for almost everything
3) Great Champions League side game
4) Very tactical and not all about picking best players, but coverage of players.

Has anyone got a csv, xls or txt version? If not, I'll try and create one.

5.2 now. Bit of price tinkering going on!

Must be very close to launch now.

PS Hello MV - good choice with OFL :D

So how long are the odds that you are willing to offer that either of the other two will provide more points per £ in 2011-2. If you are not prepared to offer decent odds your "no brainer" comment is worth diddly squat.

The prices are being tinkered with. The 'defenders' that I was watching, have either decreased in value or stayed the same, whereas the midfielder and strikers have all increased :?

From OFL:- Team selection will be available at some stage next week, depending on late testing

Hi ya NM... I'm really looking forward to OFL this year... maybe you can drop the odd hint my way as you obviously took to it faster than I did judging from the ISO league

Tinkering with the prices whilst it's live is like Charlize Theron pulling the top of one of her stockings down... then back up... then back down... LOL

De gea in at 4.8... a little pricey IMO... (was hoping he'd be a little less with Cech at 4.8)
And the Launch on Monday, nice :)

My first reactions to the player list - midfielders have gone up in price, difficult to find value there.

With a couple of promoted goalkeepers priced as low as 2.8, I might need to bring in one of them if they are non-players. This would be a risky strategy if you don't have any other goalies and the main goalie gets injured.

There's actually 6 players at 2.9m so it might be worth bringing one of them in and you can always downgrade to a 2.8 later to free up that 0.1m.

First team draft I picked had Bunn of BLN in goal with 2 high-price FBs plus Baines, a mixture of mid-to-low CBs, 4x £4.xm MD's and 3 strikers (1 expensive, 1 mid, 1 cheap).

I think that's a good improvement - there always used to be plenty of decent value midfielders around 3.5-3.8 which meant it was quite obvious to load up on a few of them - they're priced more competitively this year :)
