The latest GW Scores are posted on the last page of this thread.Eight months later, the final Gameweek has arrived.
Welcome to ribbon cutting ceremonies for the 2011-12 Divisional Championships!
RULES OF THE DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPSParticipantsThe initial participant list has been compiled from all FISO members stating their wish to play the game. The initial divisions in which each member will start have been decided by a method described below, the positions published there are final.
New players may join the game at any time by stating their request to enter in this thread, and giving me a link to their team. New players will not have their points backdated; they will begin scoring from the first update after I receive their request to enter.
Game PhasesThe game will take place over a number of ‘periods’ per season. Each period will consist of a pre-determined number of gameweeks. For the 2011/12 season, the periods will run as follows:
Phase 1: Gameweek 4 – Gameweek 8
Phase 2: Gameweek 9 – Gameweek 13
Phase 3: Gameweek 14 – Gameweek 18
Phase 4: Gameweek 19 – Gameweek 23
Phase 5: Gameweek 24 – Gameweek 28
Phase 6: Gameweek 29 – Gameweek 33
Phase 7: Gameweek 34 – Gameweek 38
Game FormatThe participating teams are split into divisions. Teams compete in a league against other teams in their division over each period, using their score from the Fantasy PremierLeague.com game. All points as awarded by the administrator of this game are final. At the end of each period, the teams will be ranked in order by the points scored during the period. Depending on your position, you may be promoted to the division above, or relegated to the division below, in time for the beginning of the next period.
Structure of DivisionsThere are five divisions, namely the Premier Division and Divisions 1-4. At the beginning of the season the number of teams in each division will be 22,26,26,29,28 respectively. This is variable and will change throughout the season due to any new entrants. New players entering the competition late will always join in the bottom division.
Promotion and RelegationThe top 5 teams at the end of each period in each division below the Premier Division will be promoted to the division above. The bottom 5 teams at the end of each period in each division except the bottom division will be relegated to the division below. These numbers are increased to 6 between Divisions 2 and 3, and between 3 and 4. Extra promotion or relegation spaces may be created from time to time as divisions get larger, or to prevent an excess of teams accumulating in the lowest division as new teams join, these will be advertised and fixed at the first update of each phase.
RankingTeams within a division will be ranked on the following criteria:
1. Total points scored during the phase (taking into account relevant transfer deductions).
2. Week-by-week head-to-head record during the phase against tied teams.
3. Overall FPL rank for the whole season to date.
4. Most FISO posts on the current forum.
Transfer deductionsAny transfer deductions you incur during a phase will be counted in your score. However, deductions incurred at the beginning of the first week of each phase will be ignored. In the week you play your wildcard, no transfer deductions will be made. Additionally, if you make two free transfers in a week using FPL’s “free transfer rollover” rule, you will incur no deductions. (Although this has been an integral part of the Divisional Championships, it has yet to be determined if I will be able to "ignore" the transfer deductions in the first week of each phase. I'll advise the outcome ASAP).
UpdatesTables will be updated once each gameweek, at my earliest convenience following the confirmation of the final gameweek scores by FPL.com. If you believe I have updated your score incorrectly, please make me aware of my error.

QualificationBelow you will see what division you are to start in, after your performance last season and your score so far this season have been taken into account.
Under “10/11” in the table is the division you finished last year’s Divisional Championships (if applicable) and your 2010/11 score (if applicable). If you played this game last year, you will start in at least the division you finished last May (possibly higher, if you do well in pre-qualifying). So for example, the 22 managers that ended last season in the Premier Division are guaranteed a place in the top flight for 2011/12. Spare spaces in each division are up for grabs (for anyone!) in pre-qualifying. These will be awarded based on your team's score in the first 3 GWs (with a headstart given to those who finished higher in 10/11; or if you are new to this side-game, based on your 10/11 FPL score).
Your headstart is the bit based on how you did last year, and has been worked out as follows:
(last year's points score - 1860) / 10
+
10 points per division above the lowest, in which you finished last year's div champs
(where the first part is taken to be zero if you scored below 1860 or didn't play, and the second part means +30 if you finished in Div 1, +20 for Div 2 and +10 for Div 3)
This Hstart is then added to your score so far in this season’s first three gameweeks (“GW3” in table) to create your Qualifying Score.
Divisions were decided as follows. First all those who ended last season in the Prem were placed in the Prem due to the guarantee as such. Then the remaining places in the Prem were given to those with the best Qual Score of all other managers. Next anyone who ended last May in Div 1 (except those who had just won a place in a higher league) was placed in Div 1. The rest of the spaces in Div 1 were filled by those with the best Qual Score of all remaining managers. And the same for Divs 2 and 3, with the remaining managers being placed in Div 4.
So here it is then

List edited to add minigokou and delete another manager that is not playing from Division 1.
Although registration was late, it looks as though the league will be as competitive as ever. All 22 Premier League managers are playing again, 22 of 26 Div 1. managers returned, and many top new managers were added.
Sir_john_grimes, peddles, dazbowski, and froog were the high scoring qualifiers to complete the remaining Div 1. spots. Tough luck to andy_sb who missed Div 1. qualification by tenths of a point.
There were 17 quaranteed spots in Div 2, with 9 managers qualifying to join the group: Spencer4 and The Real Slim Shady from Div 3, Tacalabala and Nedved_Cannon jumping up from Div 4., and five new managers, Britunis, pabzlito, Abhishekrocked, Taff Murray and wahine making big impressions to qualify for their lofty spot.
Marching On Together, BCFS1903, Viva and the dude abides qualified to join 25 returning managers to round out Div 3., while the remaining 28 managers will begin the season in Div 4. Don't give up hope, as three managers each moved up three divisions last year.
Welcome back to all returning managers and congratulations for all those qualifying for higher spots. Good Luck to everyone for Phase 1 which will run from GW4 thru GW8.
Much thanks to Reds363, RomynPG, and Surprised for helping to get the competition off the ground.
