Damn. Was hoping the 13 points to make up on owenclass would be simple enough but he's inexplicably captained Bale so that's the dream over

Good luck owenclass I noticed you were in relegation position after 1st week so thats an impressive climb this phase.
Me I don't think my week score of 82 will be enough to secure my promotion from Div 3. Think I'll get a near miss.

owenclass, owenclass, owenclass, owenclass

owenclass wins the Premier and is the Champion Fantasy Manager for Phase 4.

Softcoal, Gowanyalanger, FingerPass, and amcal59 notch their respective Division Championships.

Promoted managers include Phantomscythe, Sideswipe, AMc, and V1.0 joining Softcoal in earning promotions to the Premier for our next Phase; Tacalabala, BCFS1903, The Real Slim Shady, mitel_10, sir_john_grimes and bagpuss along with Gowanyalanger jump up to Division 1; Flyman, Billy Whiz, Jman00, Viva, stuboy, markinlard, PrimitiveMan, pdobbs and FlaminGalah advance with FingerPass to Division 2; and Marching on Together, Knotty, Enoch powell, Alacranium, wahine, Le Red, Dixie Dean, bristolciteh, Lang Toun Land, SUZYKINS, and Mystery all join Champion amcal59 for a promotion to Division 3. (My apologies for any typing errors).

Congratulations to all of the promoted managers and Divisional Champions.

With 8 new managers being added for Phase 5, additional promotions spots were awarded for all but the Premier to keep a balance between the Divisions. Next Phase will see a 22-28-28-31-31 split between the Divisions. If you are one of the affected managers, accept your good fortunes and don't look back. The standard promotion numbers (5-5-6-6) will be used next Phase.

Spencer4 just missed the coveted promotion to the Premier by a mere 3 points.

FlaminGalah edged ROCKFISHDG for the last promotion to Division 2, winning a head to head tiebreaker 3-2.

Also, Mystery slipped by razorback for the final Division 3 promotion. Once again, a 3-2 head to head tiebreaker determined the winner.

On the flip side of the coin, Krispy, mikwebb, Sarky, UmExcuseMe, and atx1303 are relegated to Division 1; Abumies, Kangster, nevblake, topcat 24, and froog drop to Division 2, briankidd, reds363, jester, Nedved-Cannon, ironfist and Dronning Maud Land fall to Division 3; and vid, richH6109, the lip, discogod, DrBunker, and Albionjulie join Division 4.

BLOUFO beat down Krispy on a 3-2 tiebreaker to avoid relegation from the Premier, and dazbowski and moonlightdribbler stuffed briankidd in a three-way tiebreaker using head to head matchups and FPL rankings to stay in Division 2.

DrBunker paid the price for his 24 point hit in GW22 and is being relegated to Division 4, but two managers (viva and Enoch powell) took 16 point hits this week and both earned promotions.

Eight new managers will begin the challange of the Divisional Championships next Phase: Organdonor47, Duncancosgrove, coryphaeus, yorkshiredragon, mowatson, The Dazzler, Stemania, and Roga. Phase 5 begins GW24.

Once again, many thanks to RomynPG for sorting this out week by week.

I have done so wonderfully well this season, that I've effortlessly and with admirable determination (if I may say so myself) slipped from the Premiership to the 3rd division , like a greased penguin on teflon coated ice...

Please welcome Ridley MTB as a late addition to the Divisional Championships. Added for GW24 to include eligibility for all five GW's of Phase 5.

Some high scores this GW with 19 managers exceeding 90 points, including Mintman and baganboy who both broke the 100 point barrier. Great Work.

Early Division leads go to baganboy, Mintman, dazbowski, jester, and Razorback, but many are in the chase and threaten the top.

Our nine new managers all made a fine intro, with all scoring between 74 and 88, and three of the newcomers are already hi-lited in the green promotion zone.

Just having a look at the 'original' first phase of the DCs - post234397.html#p234397

Malefice, you're the only original Prem currently in the Prem?! What has been your lowest division?

Lots of name I don't know there as well.

I suppose I could go through the whole thing year-by-year when I'm bored out of my head. Him and Brightwater must have a fair number of the Prem wins between them.

FS Record: FPL 28th 06/07; CYKI 10th 08/09; TFFO 3rd 09/10; ISO champ 06/07 & 09/10; TFF £25s 2nd and 2-foot winner 2010/11
Thought I'd help out with this from my records :)

The Prem winners of the Div Champs since its inception are as follows:

2005-06
MrSmedley
Squealy
Leepoint

2006-07
Squealy
Leepoint
FCBruno
Zero Zero
Reds363
Nemo
Malefice

2007-08
BLOUFO
Cooke_je
Hammered
Spencer4
Minigokou
Dalythgoe
BLOUFO

2008-09
Dalythgoe
Nigel1305
Five Long Bones
Spencer4
McGrath!
Phantomscythe
Atx1303

2009-10
Malefice
Nigel1305
Minigokou
Le Red
Dronning Maud Land
El Tel of Ealing
Krispy

2010-11
Brightwater
RememberTheTitans
Alwaysonthebeer
Phantomscythe
Mintman
Sarky
El Tel of Ealing

2011-12
Doogal
Colbert
Doogal
Owenclass

So overall multiple winners are:
2 - BLOUFO
2 - Dalythgoe
2 - Doogal
2 - El Tel of Ealing
2 - Leepoint
2 - Malefice
2 - Minigokou
2 - Nigel1305
2 - Phantomscythe
2 - Spencer4
2 - Squealy

I am astounded to find that no-one has won more than 2 out of the 42 phases so far.

(BLOUFO, after his two wins way back in 2007-08, is closest of the twice-champions to making it three in early days of the current phase)

Especially surprised to find that Mintman and Brightwater only got one, and Malefice just two.

(Apologies if there are any username changes that I have ignored/forgotten which may affect the multiple wins - for starters I'm sure Brightwater and McGrath had different former names but I forget what they were. )

That serves to illustrate just how competitive the Divisional Championships are,and why this is such a popular sidegame.

It wouldn't be half as much fun if the same people kept winning. Everyone has a chance in this game. Thanks reds363

That's incredible! I'm amazed in particular that Brightwater only won it once?

Another question reds - What is the furthest someone has dropped down from the Prem and managed to find their way back? How many phases has malefice not been in the Prem?

Fair dues if you don't have them stats.

Note, GW scores are after transfer penalties.

A very low scoring week (40+) compared to last week (70+). Many of our "cookie-cutter" teams continue to perform well, RVP, Ba, Aquero, Silva, Dempsey, Bale, Sess/McLean, Valencia, but lots of noise made by Rooney, Saha, Adebayor, Odemwingie, makes the selection process more interesting.

Four new division leaders.

baganboy in the Premier is the only leader to hold on to his position, but hes being chased by Doogal and Jimmyhill. Shock, shock, our reigning champion, owenclass, is in danger of relegation.

CanaryYellow surges to the top of Division 1, likewise Kengster, with the high score of the GW, finds his way to the top of Division 2,

Dronning Maud Land has a big score to lead Division 3, and newcomer yorkshiredragon is looking for immediate promotion in Division 4.

Other interesting moves, Knotty takes a 16 point hit in Division 3. Was this his planned strategy, or is there more to the story?

Interesting stuff. I had at least 1 success a few years back as Lazyboy. I think I started in Premier, and don't think I've dropped below Div 1.
