My team for this weeks Deutsche Bank Championship only cost 8.2mill to put together and I am keeping it under wraps for now as I think that it has a winning look about it. Although I will mention one name if it might help Julian get back to the top of the Leaderboard. The name is ..... Charles Schwartzel, a must have in your team.

I see he's 66/1 at Ladbrokes!!

I've had him in my OFL team all year and he's been a bit hit and miss, but I'll need something a bit different this week. Thinking cap time...

Stop talking about me like that ! ;)

As for this week - transfer saving exercise in anticipation of the coming weeks.
Therefore my teams look like this

1)
Furyk
Weir
Van Pelt
Duke
Gallacher
Derksen

2)
Casey
Pampling
Dredge
Sterne
Brier
Lawrie
(First time in 2 yrs that I have had all 6 players in one event that was not at least double points)

3)
Furyk
Stenson
Forsyth
Van Pelt
Sterne
Leaney

Not a lot to shout about

If looking to use transfers I could make

Singh
Furyk
Weir
Casey
Pampling
Sterne

Just not sure it is worth it - means taking out Woods

Any thoughts?

i agree. I dont like making transfers for single point events.

However i have made 2 this week but i do not see them as for this week i see them for the next 8 weeks. Els hasnt got anywhere near the record in the states as Furyk. So i would rather have Furyk for the back to back double and triple pointers.
And ir looks like this Romero is the real thing. so he is in for the European run in.

So i still have woods in

CHANGED TEAM1 at the last minute - hope it works. Only putting Oliver Wilson in from the bench instead of Gallacher.
Haven't used Gallacher all season and only put him in because of MR GREEN so I blame him

Padmole - Gallacher's certainly served me OK this season with 36 points from eight events. However, admittedly I've also left him out this week!

Blame me if it makes you feel better...

Mr Green

Such low expectations from your players - 36 points in 8 starts. I am looking for at least 8 points per start at least. I have a score to protect.

Ok - it is a poor score but whatever.

I didn't even consider puttin Gallacher in ahead of Derksen. Early doors suggest I was wrong and you were right.......again

Timmsy - the trick to this one is to do your team on a Monday then at least if you don't get round to studying and transfers you will have the maximum playing.
Anyway -what do I know. Villegas has now gone 5 under. DONKEY

Unless, as in my case you get last minute withdrawals - I find it difficult to get to a computer on Weds so it has plagued me all year....

Come on Mr Green when are auto subs going to get programmed...

To Mr Green's credit he has stated that if you let him know then he will ensure that at least you can ensure players counting if you contact him in advance.

ie you could give a priority ranking to your players (Simplest way - by cost) and he will include them.

Obviously doesn't help if you wish to do transfers but even an automated system will not o that without a lot of fuss.

Romero had been pretty poor up until the Saturday of last weekend - which is why I got rid a couple of weeks ago.

X-Man - It's the usual story, I'm afraid - so much stuff to do, but so little Development Team time can be allocated to Fantasy Golf. However, I'm hopeful that this can be looked at over the winter in preparation for 2008, but certainly no guarantee.

Can I borrow your crystal ball then please? You must have timed him perfectly. He is now firmly rooted to my bench in the teams he is in.

I presume from your comments Mr. G that Golf isn't one of your most lucrative comps or else it might get more time? Is that fair?

I am suffering this year from overstretch - did it in Classic football with 8 teams, done it in Golf with 8 teams. Coupled with house move, little kid and job hunting time constraints have done for me.

Great finish and as they have said on tv - didnt even play well.

Got to be good for a top 3 as when he is thereabouts he tends to finish the job off.

Top 3 would in my book make you a 1/10 chance for the LONGY trophy.
Where are we going on holiday again?

Better still - can you take the wife so that I can have some peace

Has anyone noticed the names of some of the players at the top of the leaderboard in Canada. It looks like if you parents gave you a weird name in the USA the only way to make ammends was to take up Golf.

Hunter Mahan
Trip Isenhour
BO van Pelt
Brandt Snedeker
Tag Ridings
Matt Goggin
Doug LaBelle II

What a laugh.
