The BBC have released hundreds of desert Island disc archives in Itunes - I find them very enjoyable not just because the guests tend to be interesting but because of when the interviews took place.

Bobby Robson was listened too yesterday and he had just been sacked by Newcastle, Matthew Pinsent was trying to decide whether to commit to rowing at the Greece Olympics.

I also enjoy listening to the people I have never even heard of. The dullest one I think I have ever heard was Nick Clegg. Tracey Emin was interesting this morning!

There must be close to a 1000 skits - wonderful stuff - worth the licence fee alone. Shame the music is cut down "for rights reasons" - though it's the interviews that make it.

I actually listened to Debbie Harry this morning 'live', good selections from her, though I only heard half of them.

Clarrisa Dickson-Wright today sensational! Highlights include:

- putting 2 muggers in intensive care
- knocking an alsatian unconcious with a single punch
- youngest person to be called to the Bar

He father was as incredible surgeon but like her an alcoholic - her metabolism is such that she cannot lose weight. A rare condition bought on usually by malaria medication. When asked by the doctor is she once lived in a malarial area she said no but I bet its the quinine in the G&T's she drunk. The doctor said no way you would have to drink enormous amounts of G&T's to do that - how about 6 pints a day for 12 years was the reply.

Yep - that would do it
