SCORING POINTS
Points are scored during the FIFA™ World Cup 2010, and awarded in accordance with the How to Score rules detailed from time to time on the Websites and in the Newspapers. Goalkeeper and Defender: Full Clean Sheet (+5) Part Clean Sheet (+2) Goal Conceded (-1) Goal Scored (+10). Midfielder: Goal Scored (+8). Striker: Goal Scored (+5). All Players: Starting Appearance (+3) Sub Appearance (+1) Key Goal Contribution (+3) Yellow Card (-1) Red Card (-3) Penalty Save (+3) Penalty Goal in Shootout (+3). Clean Sheet points will only be awarded to a Team when that team finishes the Game with a clean sheet and to a player who has played 60 minutes or more of the Game. Only players listed as goalkeepers and defenders will lose points for goals conceded whilst they are on the pitch. Key contribution points will be awarded to the player who makes the last pass before a goal is scored. If a player shoots and the ball rebounds off the wood work or goalkeeper, a KC is awarded if the rebound leads to a goal. KC's will also be awarded to a player who wins a penalty for his Team, provided the penalty is scored and the fouled player does not take the penalty himself. Key Goal Contributions will be awarded at the sole discretion of the appointed judging panel. A player who receives 2 yellow cards and consequently a red card will score (-3) only. Scoring includes points scored during Extra Time and Penalties.

Red and yellow card points will be awarded based on the events of a 90 minute football match (including Extra Time and Penalities). Points will not be amended if cards are subsequently rescinded by FIFA. Similarly points will not be amended for goals that are retrospectively awarded by a Dubious Goals Panel.

PRIZES
Managers shall compete for prizes based on the performance of their Teams. The 1st prize of £10,000 will be awarded to the Manager whose Team scores the highest total cumulative number of points throughout the FIFA™ World Cup 2010 from Friday 11th June 2010 to Sunday 11th July 2010 (inclusive). Other Prizes will be awarded as follows: 2nd: £2,000, 3rd: £750 4th:£500 5th:£300, 6th: £200, 7th:£100, 8th: £75, 9th: £50, 10th: £25, 11th-20th: 1x Free entry for Daily Star Fantasy Football 2010/2011 Premier League game.

Managers shall also compete for intermediate prizes. The top scoring Manager in each stage of the FIFA World Cup will win £1,500, the manager who finishes second in each stage will win £500. Intermediate prize periods are: 11th June 2010 - 25th June 2010 (Group Stages), 26th June 2010 - 29th June 2010 (Last 16), 2nd July 2010 - 11th July 2010 . Intermediate prize winners will be announced on the first Tuesday after a prize period finishes. Intermediate winners will be displayed in the Winners Gallery. Pictures of winners will be used for the purposes of the Winners Gallery only, and will not appear in any newspaper unless the winner is advised otherwise.

In the event of a tie for any of the above prizes the prize will be awarded to the Manager whose Team scored the most goals during the prize period. If this is tied then the Manager that has used the least transfers during the prize period will win the prize. If this is still tied then the Team that was registered for the Game first will win the prize.

An individual Manager may win only one prize for finishing in the top twenty. If an individual Manager has more than one Team in the top twenty at the end of the tournament then only their highest placed Team will qualify for a prize. In this instance prizes will be awarded to Teams outside the top twenty until twenty individual Managers have been awarded a prize. An individual Manager may win only one intermediate prize during the season.

TRANSFERS
A Manager may make a maximum of 24 transfers during the season. Transfers can either be made online, or by calling 0905 817 0709. There is no limit to the number of transfers a Manager can make during a week.

A transfer amnesty will be in place up until 7:30pm on Friday 11th June 2010. Any transfers made before this time will not be debited from that Team's transfer allowance. At 7:30pm on Friday 11th June 2010 the first aloocation of 12 transfers will become available. The second transfer window is open from 3:00pm on Friday 25th June 2010 to 7:30pm on Sunday 11th July 2010. Each team has 12 transfers to be used in each of the transfer windows, totalling 24 transfers per team.

In order to become active that day, transfers must be made before the scheduled kick off of the earliest match on that day. Transfers made after this time will not start scoring points until the following day. Transfers are timed by the Promoter's server clock and transfers recorded as being late will not be reversed or altered retrospectively. The judge's decision on any matters regarding transfers is final and the Promoter will not enter into any discussion over missed transfer deadlines.

The editor reserves the right, in the event of circumstances beyond his control, to cancel the competition at any time or to change the rules in any way or at any time. The editor's decision in all matters is final. All dates are subject to change, in the event of match rescheduling.

Normal Daily Star rules apply and are published periodically.

Im sure im not the only one that will have failed to use all their 1st phase transfers, i know i should read the rules and not asssume, but to end the game period before the last group games at 3pm is stupid. All other games with game periods (OFL), end midnight tonight

,,,,I was just prompted to look due to that last post - and transfers have been reset already at 12 per team for the next phase. Missed 1 or 2 transfers myself, serves me right for not rtfm, but yes the rules are unusual. I think this is the only clevertv game that has game periods, possibly why it's an anomaly.

Just went back again to look at their rules - def still says 3pm, june 25th. But not sure it's my fault or anyone elses for not reading rules properly - common sense should dictate that next phase starts 3pm tomorrow, the 26th. Because it does. They screwed up, on what was probably originally a typo. And double checking - it's not the only game that clevertv run with a game period (the goalarabia game does too) and that one doesn't have this problem. If deadlines were set at midnight as in other companies games this wouldn't have been an issue.

Edit again - just been reminded that was trying to access the league table today, but it's not loading, so guessing that they had a problem with this game.

Does anyone know if the Round of 16 leaderboard teams (bought for this purpose I assume) have 12 or 24 transfers? I am assuming it must be 12, in which case I will throw a couple of non winning teams at it.
