Update

Had an interview this week and.... didn't get the job. BUT, they said that had it not been for the fact that the successful candidate had more technical experience than me, they would have selected me (so I was basically in the final two). In fact, they said I had the best CV and performed the best in interview!

So there you have it, Richt is the eff nuts at CV's, officially :D :D

I suppose I could be all angry and pissed off, but actually I'm now even more motivated. I feel it's a matter of time trather han luck, and that is a good feeling. Thanks to everyone, and of course, Richt especially.

Will let you know any more developments, hopefully there won't be many more if you get my drift.

Thanks for the thanks Tac. Well done on your almost success. Glad my input was of use.

Of course we all know that you didn't get this job as your dream job is just around the corner :)

Right, I`m getting petty now, but it really should be.

That's probably what really did it for me.

Past and present tense is important to me, as an Employer.

Be warned.

I just thought that Tac was being ironic with his use of the word "done". :?

I was

Anyway, doing some application forms where you need to be more expansive, the old dear thinks I should mention that I've help take notes on behalf of people facing disciplinary procedures, e.g. note taking skills, potential to learn shorthand.

Bad idea? Can't help but to think you'd be more or less suggesting that you're a trouble maker.

It's never a bad idea to put something that's a little "out of the ordinary", so I would say yes, put it on.

Interesting to see our very own Ed was up to no good adding to his CV on question 2.

DODGY bustard.

David Edmondson, chief executive of Radio Shack, dismissed in 2006 after the company discovered he'd falsely added a bachelor of science degree to his CV when he joined 12 years earlier.

 .

Just completed an online application for a graduate scheme, was able to copy the question onto a text file for your collective perusal. Won't say who the company was, but the sector is recruitment:

Very annoyed, was in the process of completing on application for an NHS job in admin, was posted up on Monday (20th). I'd planned to finish my application now, only to find that it was already closed for applications (I think the original closing date was first week of March)!!! Called them to ask why, and they said that they close vacancies to applicants when they reach a certain limit of applications. So there you go.

Mad way of doing it, surely they'd have known that was going to happen and should have given the closing as Thursday or Friday.
