Hi guys, decided to use my WC now and came up with this team with 0.7 in the bank, how does it look? I might upgrade Morison in a few weeks to Cisse/Ba or Sturridge if he hits form and would use that 0.7 along with a downgrade elsewhere to do so. I was thinking of bringing Cahill in (Chelsea) but too much of a risk I think, not a sure starter? Any feedback is appreciated.

I can't fault it. Very strong team indeed. Well done.

excellent, morison to keane perhaps to give funds for senderos to evans and aesthetically that would look terrifying, team and player wise.

i hope you're high in the league because those players could fire you to a proper challenge

Vermaelen? Will arsenal keep clean sheets? he gets goals yes but thats a luxury, the clean sheets should be bread and butter in defence.

vermaelin is an excellent punt when the rest of the teams as strong as that, for 2 weeks at least

as you have maxed out on city there is absolutely nothing in the price range better, so id stick with verm for 2 weeks, huge goal threat too

Good team though... :)

Vermaelen - is the best defender in the EPL! However, his team mates are terrible and their strength as a squad in defence makes him low VFM. Far better cheaper options.
Kompany - stable and sometimes attacking, but overall, you get the same effect with a 0.9m cheaper Clichy.
Caulker - I've gone off Swansea... cheap, yes, but I'd avoid for now...
Morrison - OK... I guess a decent punt as any, but none of them at this price gives me peace of mind...

Thanks guys for the feedback.

I could keep Morison and upgrade Senderos to Evans right now as I have 0.7 in the bank, but surely Evans will be rotated with Ferdinand, Smalling and Jones. I think Evans will get games, just a bit of uncertainty how many. I may yet pick him.

Vermaelen, well... he's a risk CS wise I agree and I'd be the first to admit that as an Arsenal fan. At the same time, Sagna should be back quite soon. He'll get his share of 2's like other defenders but unlike other defenders imo, has the potential to score big. If I didn't go with him, not sure who would be a better pick. Clichy's played 90 mins 15/22 GW's, decent I guess. Thing is, I'd only downgrade to Clichy if that extra cash would come in use, and at the moment I don't see where it would make a massive improvement.

If not Caulker, someone like Shotton? I may yet go Vorm  Mignolet but I'm wary because Mignolet could quickly lose out to Westwood or Gordon, who is back soon. I doubt I'd play Caulker much, just rotating with Senderos or Simpson depending who's got the best fixture that week.

What do people think of Cahill? Is he likely to start most games? I'll probably wait a couple of weeks after the WC to be certain unless AVB has stated his intentions with him.

Big question for me is what you're planning to do when/now Ba is coming back? Ignore or take one of the big beasts upfront out?

Cheers muld, another tiger fan as well. They're definitely my favorite animal.

That's an excellent question Dan, in my mind I am weighing up these options:

1) Leave my team as is.
2) Downgrade Aguero to Dzeko to fund Morison to Ba. The problem here is then I'd have a fairly expensive front 8 with a tough decision each week who to bench. Also, even if Dzeko were to keep up with Aguero until Balotelli is back, surely he would taper off after his return.
3) Downgrade Sessegnon to McClean to allow myself to upgrade Morison to Ba.

So I guess options 1 and 3 come down to Sessegnon and Morison versus McClean and Ba and ultimately Sessegnon versus Ba as they would be in my first team almost every week. Ba has the season long pedigree, but will he keep this up or share goals with the new Demba? Sessegnon has the form and is OOP, so he looks good but again will he keep this up? Lots to ponder for sure!

This I like. Only wait with Bringing Ba in as he might be 'fatigued'.
But don't touch Aguero, he's as close to RVP as anyone else.
