Any idea why Torres hasn't dropped in price? He's currently -187% and has been due a drop for a day or so. I find FPL so inconsistent...

Because CTC's drops page is wrong and has been for a while, he's not really -187%, more like -60%. No inconsistency from FPL (not here, anyway).

I'm hoping he'll drop this week before the DG deadline.

Confused as to why Djourou's price keeps dropping so rapidly.

Meant to be approx 2.5 times his usual drop rate as he is flagged red - however he just dropped after just 8330 NTOs.

Currently has ownership of 2.1%. which would be a drop rate of approx 12,845. That's now!

So before his current drop his ownership was higher than 2.1%. Anyone notice any other players dropping when they weren't expecting them to?

Actually, further investigation shows that in GW30, Djourou dropped by 0.1, to 4.2million with a drop rate of 26,283. 2 weeks later, his drop rate is 8000!

Djourou is baffling. Both CTC and the other site had him at 40-50% both times in which he dropped.

Something not quite right there.

FS Record: FPL 28th 06/07; CYKI 10th 08/09; TFFO 3rd 09/10; ISO champ 06/07 & 09/10; TFF £25s 2nd and 2-foot winner 2010/11
That 26k drop in GW30 was his second of the week, hence it being double the "usual". His "base" drop level at that point would have been something like 10-13k. And as players drop more and more, their ownership decreases so their subsequent drop targets decrease.

Quick calculation at the moment = 2.1% ownership = approx 50,000
Base drop threshold = 6% (that's the approx current figure) of that = 3,000
x2.5 because he's flagged = 7,500
(and you can double that from now on until the next deadline, now that he's dropped once this week)

So would you say that Coleman should drop tonight as well, or can we assume the % is off a little due to the yellow flag?

Because Coleman is owned by a large enough number of people his drop target is the negative of the rise target, which would be -19k, but x2.5 because he's flagged so approx -48k

Does anyone know if Tevez is likely to drop tonight?

"know" - no. But I am working on the assumption that he will, and won't be taking the chance otherwise. I did notice that more than 2000 people have transferred him in, for a gameweek when he is injured and his team don't have a game. If they had been smart they could've waited until tomorrow and got him cheaper.

Definitely. His proper drop target should be about -96k (-19k, x2.5 for flag, x2 for second drop of the week) and he's on -137k (as of 10pm, and plummeting)

Clint Dempsey has gone up 0.1m in each of the last three nights. Is this a record?

I'm not sure but it's probably at least a joint record. However he's already got enough transfers this morning to go up again tonight (once the thresholds are reset in the new GW), and I'm sure 4 days in a row will be a record!

looks like van der vaart may manage 3 in 3 as well, although this is only according to the [other site], which seems to have a lower NTI target than CTC? 60,000 or so instead of 74,000?

The number of managers playing the FPL game has increased rapidly over the last few years - if the parameter values in the transfer price algorithm are not re-set to take account of this, then I think we are bound to see increased surges of support for players perceived to have a good chance of scoring well (and the opposite - Dempsey fell twice this week!). I think the transfer market will be more volatile - probably means we can look forward to more record-breaking, even though 4 consecutive price rises looks very tough to beat.

I'm no IT expert, but if you are the league admin, providing you have re-entered your team using your previously registered e-mail address with FPL, you will be able to reactivate your previous leagues with a touch of the button on your league page. Your previous history will also appear.

I see Suarez is owned by 40% already and thats bound to rise as its early days. I reckon he wont play the first few weeks after playing copa. Does that mean his price will go up first week and go down two weeks in a row afterwards as people get impatient. I want to have him but would like to get best price for him and dont want a 10m striker on bench for first month. any advice?

they always get two weeks rest after a tournament. A week to get back to match fitness, couple of sub appearances before a full match maybe. Kenny isnt going to risk burning out his prize asset

He will have three weeks rest after tonight's game, he'll have plenty of time to recover and will be on the team sheet to face Sunderland.

is this the best time to use wild card? Do u predict many double price rises in the next two weeks or should I hold tight for a while.

You'd do better to ask on this season's thread rather than last season's
