Harewood: 37,287 (maybe on protection for moving clubs)

Fallers:

Given
Hilario
Bellamy

The site that shall not be linked to seems to be using ~10% as the fall estimate. None of tonight's changes disprove that. Hilario 103% of threshold and did fall, N'Zogbia 79% and didn't fall.

All looks straight forward at the moment.
Does anyone know when Harewood was added to the game? Unfortunately my app wasn't running early enough and I have everbody being added on the 13/08/2010. I'm assuming from last nights changes that Harewood is receiving 10 days protection I just don't know when from.

He was added on 11th or 12th, so could yet be within the protective boundaries of 8 days.

Sorry again if it's been mentioned.....I skimmed over but didn't see. Do % carry over for the next GW or reset? (Hope that makes sense). Example: Bale is 50% now, say he gets to 90% by the start of GW2 will he stay at 90 or reset for the next week. :?: 8-)

Those stay, but risers are reset, as is their rise threshold.

Drogba needs 75k(ish) to go up again this GW. If he gets 74k (i.e. not enough for the double) his NTI is reset to zero, and he needs 27k(ish) to rise; although this is probably more relevant to Albrighton.

Is it not the case that if Drogba has 74k, then these carry over to the next gameweek and he will rise on the first day of that gameweek since his threshold is now back to the normal level ~27k. I thought NTI were only reset when they had surpassed the threshold - ie. Drogba might've risen with 150% but he starts from 0% for his next attempt to rise - not at 50%.

Maybe. I know that there are "wasted" NTI's, somewhere along the line.

Are you saying
Drog rises at 25k
New threshold 75k
End of GW Drog on 74k
Drog Threshold reset to 25k
Drog rises again
Drog Threshold set to 75k, due to rise
Drog NTI reset to 0

As this sounds familiar, I have used 25k as an example....

Correct, although to be a total pedant the target would go up by 1x the base threshold for each rise i.e. 25K to 50K to 75K etc

At the moment the threshold is looking to be around 28K but it's too early to say.

I don't want to litter the forum with the lists of risers or fallers unless somebody requests the info, so if anyone wants an updated list then just shout on here or PM - I assume most will use "the other site"

100%.

If we're saying the first threshold is 27k, then after Drogba's first rise last night his NTI count is reset to zero and his next threshold is 54k (to be obtained from today onwards). You could say that's the same as needing to get to a total of 81k, but there's a slight difference because Drogba's NTI yesterday was at 48k: the extra 21k over threshold 1 are 'wasted' and don't count towards reaching threshold 2 (he must start again).

Seeing as he starts from zero the minimum for a double rise is 81k, plus the extra on the day of the first rise. So it does go 27, 81k (plus the discounted) NTI for the week.

With threshold, but not NTI reset at the end of the GW?

Correct, NTI rolls over, and the threshold is reset to 27k since the last rise (which in your terms, presuming he's not risen a second time this week, will be a total of 54k plus the wastage from first rise)

Another question on the threshold reset...

Using the example of Drogba, say he gets to 70k by Thursday, then there's news he's doubtful for the weekend. By Friday he's dropped to 60k and Saturday (start of the next GW) he's on 50k. The threshold will have been reset to ~30k, so does that mean he'll still go up on Sat night/Sun morning (assuming he's over 30k), even though he's currently falling?

I think Arseshavin is right (at least, on the basis of previous experience)... the deadline at the start of each new gameweek resets the rise threshold for all players, but not their NTIs. An individual player's NTIs are reset if their price rises overnight.

Yes (if - in the absence so far of evidence from the current season - we assume that the price rise algorithm is going to work in a similar way to previous seasons). It is NTI that is the driving variable for the process, not dNTI/dt (fortunately!)

Anybody over the threshold at the time of the update will go up in price.

Malouda rise but it's less obvious for a J Cole drop, I think the other site that can't be mentioned has forgotten to increase his drop threshold due to his red card.

No, I think they have his drop threshold at roughly 20%. If it's meant to be 25% he could be safe tonight.
