Just a quick question on price rises, what the maximum overall player price rise that has been seen?
I am trying to get an idea for example of how far up a player is likely to go IF he continues to keep playing well (like Droga) . Im trying to get some idea of when its sensible to take a profit.

Thanks

Don't hold me to these numbers, but...

Based on the numbers I have from last year, and subtracting Min Cst from Max Cst (which is not an accurate way to determine max price rise), the highest was 1.8 (Drogba, Dunne & Milner).

I think that's about right with Dunne. I bought him at 5, and pretty sure he was 5.9 for me to sell by the end of the game.

Which would mean he rose by 1.8

RE: The Problem On The Drops List

I've noticed that CTC is only giving wrong drop targets for players that are still at their original price. CTC appears to give a roughly accurate drop target for any player that has had a price move already. I've messaged D+ about this and my suspicions where the problem may have come from. Hopefully D+ will see if he can apply a fix, if it's possible, and when he has time. :)

But in the mean time, for those players still at initial price (and hence wrong on CTC) you can calculate what their true drop target should (approximately) be via 10% of their "selected" stat (which is correct) - or (approx) 25% for flagged players.

Other than on the Crack the Code page where can one find the raw data, i.e. the number of purchases and sales of a player, or even the simple number of how many people are currently holding a player at this moment in time. I've looked in vain on the FPL site but if its not there, how can the CTC tables be compiled. Hence I assume that I've missed something that is actually there.

You appear to have not yet discovered the delights of the drop down menu on your FPL transfer page !

There you'll find such data as transfers in/out. The i (for information  ) button alongside each player's icon shows you the % of ownership,as well as a lot of other useful info.

I find it very useful to enter on my Watch List all my existing players as well as those I'm keeping an eye on.

I can then click on "Watch List" in the top box on the drop down menu, and "transfers in/out this GW" in the box below.

Thanks very much Grob.

Pretty stupid really, having used the top drop down menu, I'd failed to investigate the bottom drop down menu approximately 0.5 cm away.

I think these are correct although Duff may or may not have received protection, hopefully they help someone.

Not at all stupid Striker, as I'm sure there are many who've been playing for years without even realising they were missing something, and therefore not asking for help, or perhaps in some cases just too shy to do so. You may have indirectly helped many of them by asking for assistance.

OK then next question purely to help others of course  - how does one create a watch list? I've searched the site for over 5 minutes and can't find anything although its clear that when you bring up watch list on the drop down menu, your watch list appears showing against the characteristic that you've selected.

That's easy as well. Here's the deal:

...among, on the bottom right corner, "add to watchlist".

Also see this thread if you use a browser that can handle Greasemonkey scripts. It will add a "My Team" option to the drop-down, allowing you to easily see your players' stats without needing to add them to the watchlist, which can then be used for keeping an eye on players you are thinking of buying (which is presumably its intended purpose anyway).

I'm new to all this CTC stuff too, could anybody explain why there were loads of players above 100 per cent in bold last night seemingly heading for drops but their prices didn't fall?

Minor problem with CTC at the moment... apparently drop calculations are out for players whose prices haven't changed since the start of the season (but you can do those calculations manually instead). It's all in a post further up this thread... or somewhere else...

I have seen people mention above how to calculate but how do you get the original number of people who bought a player, as the selected by will be the current amount, and what day does this count, was it 11:30 on the first day of the season?

Cheers, I don't trust my understanding of the system (nor my understanding of maths!) to work them out myself though!

You can't back guess what the figure was. I took an ownership figure on the first day of the season and only revaluate that figure when protection is removed or a price changes.

Can anyone shed any light on whether Lampard is going to drop any further this GW, and if so, any estimate of how far? :?:

Do you mean Glen Johnson?

He won't drop for a while yet: his target is incorrect - it should be closer to 12k than 2k.

Just curious as this is not that clear to me.. but as I have Fraizer Campbell yeah, who is flagged red now, and with 18723 players owning him (.9%) and there seems to be 2800 people transferring him out , does this mean he will only drop when 2.5* times 1.872 peeps (10% of the owners) transfer him out?

Thanks for the post Murder1

I'm thinking Scholes is unlikely to go up again this GW so maybe take him out for Gardner or Barton?

I already have Malouda, Bale, Nolan and Walcott who are currently untouchables...
