Because most people won't do their transfers until tonight or tomorrow morning. Prices are most volatile in the Friday to Monday period.

I've just read the automatic substitutions section of the rules and it only implies but does not state outright that all non-playing players will be subbed. Currently I've three players who are very unlikely to play today but am reluctant to sub them off in case they do turn up against the odds. Am I right in thinking that if I have four non playing players on the pitch all four will get subbed and I will still have a full team playing, (subject of course to those 11 comprising a valid formation))?

Just a quick question on price rises, what the maximum overall player price rise that has been seen?
I am trying to get an idea for example of how far up a player is likely to go IF he continues to keep playing well (like Droga) . Im trying to get some idea of when its sensible to take a profit.

Thanks

I don't have any firm figures for you, but it wouldn't be unrealistic to see a cheap player rise by 1.5-ish over a season - if, as you say, he excells.

Most have blips or injuries, though, and it is as important to spot these 'trends' too and to 'bale out' ( Ominous!) at the best time.
Tbh, I suggest that THE best time to sell is when you see the points drying up, not the pounds.
Just as important is spotting players whose price has fallen but who are now finding some form - essentially, a 0.1m drop in a prospect is as good as a 0.2m rise in your team - better, in fact, as far as your buying power is concerned.

I understand what youre saying flyman but lets take Bale as a good example for the points he has been scoring there is no doubt he's good value. He started off at 6.5 so is it possible if he carries on scoring at this rate he will be able to reach 7.5 8?.

I totally understand that predictions are hard to make but if you take as a given he does carry on scoring at the current rate what is likely?

Thanks

Yes, I see 7.5 - 8.0m realistic for a 6.5 mid/forward, especially if they are constantly outscoring those more expensive.

6.5m+ for a comparison defender starting at 5.5m is less likely, though. He'd have to be getting a lot of extra points constantly to attract enough attention.

I would doubt Bale would rise massively as he is already owned by 45% of players. If he were to get injured and have a mass sell off he could potentially rise to those levels when he returns after protection is lifted as per Cesc last season.

What did Martin Laursen do in his annus mirabilis? Anyone remember? I had him all year and he went up a lot! Of course, if someone goes up that much, it means they are getting lots of points, so the idea of then selling them to make half the price rise in order to buy someone not as good doesn't sound like genius to me.

What strikers do people think will rise by 0.2m over the 2 weeks?

All you have to do is follow the numbers, the most important thing is to predict the risers in before the early morning rise, this is what the guys here do with great accuracy, whether or not CTC is on full steam, worry not, you are in good hands.

Carroll and Balotelli, after his 15-minute hat-trick tomorrow.

Will balotelli play tomorrow. Who is likely to rise berbatov or balotelli or another striker.

Don't hold me to these numbers, but...

Based on the numbers I have from last year, and subtracting Min Cst from Max Cst (which is not an accurate way to determine max price rise), the highest was 1.8 (Drogba, Dunne & Milner).

What's the crack with Lampard? How close to a drop is he? Seems to be right at the bottom on CTC - is something wrong?

Cheers

If Fat Frank is at the bottom of that CTC list, how do you know his price will fall? I've not used CTC before, aren't those at the top above 100 per cent or near the ones who will fall?
