Isn't Sandro still in South America?

Could be a bit to be made, if the Given and Bellamy moves happen.

As an EPL virgin I'm not interested in the complications of the price changes, but am I right in thinking that right up to the moment of any price change that you can buy a player at the old price, but that immediately after the price change you have to pay the new price. If so is there a brief period just prior to and just after the change in which trading is not possible.

Secondly at what precise time do price changes occur. And does it happen just once a week even if there are two sets of games in a single calendar week?

Thanks in advance.

The prices get updated every day, at 02:30 GMT.

Alex question.

He was red and then yellow for a while. Can his price change within this week?

There's no period where trading is impossible, the prices just change in an instant. If you have begun the transfer process but before clicking 'confirm' some prices have changed, it pops up with a message along the lines of "do you wish to continue" or "your squad is now over budget".

Changes happen every day, as murur0a said. I think in the past it's either between 01:05 and 01:15 or between 02:05 and 02:15 (possibly switching between the two when the clocks move??)

At a guess: no. But don't rely on that answer, we're not sure about anything till stuff starts to happen!

Thanks very much for the responses, especially Red's comprehensive and easily understood post. Now I'm off to think about if I should bring Drogba in before the price rise.

Actually my instinct is to ignore potential price rises and falls and just play it as any other game, as if one does poorly who cares about prices, and if you do well you will automatically have an increasingly valued team. Well thats what is seems like to this EPL newbie anyway.

Yes,even Virgins are entitled to an FPL button

To get your own personalised, sparkling, brand new button and never again be treated with suspicion in this part of the FF world :

make a note of your FPL id from the top of your FPL history page, then enter it in the box where shown at the bottom of your Fiso profile page

....and then smile, you belong ! :D :D

As you'll soon discover, you can't play FPL like any other game, because of the price changes, and that's one of the reasons it's so much bigger than all the other FF games put together despite there being no prizes, and one team only allowed.

It's a bit like playing the stockmarket, except you can't actually lose any money in this game. More money enables you to buy better players later on,and pretend you're a Sheik

To take your present situation as an example - as you've no FPL button I can't tell if you've any spare cash or if you're fully invested at present, but let's suppose the latter is the case for the sake of this example and you decide to defer your decision on whether or not to buy Drogba until tomorrow,as your policy is to ignore price changes.

Tonight,as anticipated,Drogba goes up 0.1 and you can't then afford him tomorrow ! At the start of the season,it's so frustrating to be just 0.1 short of being able to buy the player you want.

Of course,if you're a Sheik with plenty of cash,it doesn't matter :D

Yes, but if you pick say Gareth Bale at £6.5m now, he is playing well and his value will steadily rise. Lets even surmise that by Christmas he has risen to £7.5m. And gets injured. When you transfer him out you will get £7.0m for him to purchase a replacement. Then we discover 'Arry was tellign fibs and he is fit again. It will cost you £7.5m to buy him back. SO whilst your team value may increase, it doesnt follow that your spending power will.

For me prices mattered for these reasons. I picked Coleman of Everton as one of my Subs. He wasn't even named on the bench despite FISO's considerations that he may have been first choice with Moyes going for Neville & Hibbert. So I get rid. A £4.0m will allow £0.5m to upgrade Rooney to Drogba if the fixtures suit in GW3 or 4. GW1 established who is fit & playing. As its a sub, thats all I need. Baptiste currently fits the bill. He wont get clean sheets every weeks and certainly won't score, but fit & playing will do. However, Drogba is currently sitting at over 33,000 NTI and by GW2 my £0.5m may as well be bigger all. because Drogba will be up to £12.6m or possibly £12.7m!

Cool, I'll stop posting unreadable lists

Only thing I would warn people about is the fact PleaseLinktoFiso don't appear to take red or yellow flags into account on the drops list.
For example Joe Cole is currently 76% on there yet I think he's more 38% as he's now been flagged and hence his threshold is 2.5X

Sorry guys. I know this has been asked and answered many times, but if I make a transfer today, I can still decide later in the week to wildcard, right?

However, as it seems fairly certain that the first rises & drops will take place tonight, you really want to activate the WC before that happens. Having said that, this seems like a bad week for wildcarding if you are looking to make any money off it... Just so that you know.

I thought that would happen and was tempted not to do or say anything, but I'd be depriving Fiso members of any info I do have.

Saying that PleaseLinktoFiso have also missed Phillips as being flagged!

If the site owner is reading I'm available to run the price monitoring app for a small fee ;)

I'm not taking any chances I just got Drogba in for Rooney.

Just need to hope Ivanovic doesn't drop before Saturday or at the very least he gets his game every week from now on!

Risers:

Drogba: 48,486 NTI
Albrighton: 37,207

Did not rise:

Harewood: 37,287 (maybe on protection for moving clubs)
Malouda: 24,670

Fallers:

Given
Hilario
Bellamy

The site that shall not be linked to seems to be using ~10% as the fall estimate. None of tonight's changes disprove that. Hilario 103% of threshold and did fall, N'Zogbia 79% and didn't fall.

Yep, they seem to have got it correct.

Excuse my ignorance but say Malouda (94.6% atm) gets to 100% before the end of this GW then he will go up 0.1 yes? Will it happen asap or are there particular times player prices are changed.
