Just watched this, It's a Japanese film.
Think might have best foreign film Oscar (or nominated for it).

Anyway, one of the best films I've seen in a very long time.

Amazing. Watch it.

Nope, it's been on my 'want to watch' list for a while now but as yet I haven't had a chance to see it (I'd like to get it on blu-ray but want the price to drop below the £10 mark)...

I watched it on blu ray (one of the few films I've seen on Blu ray); so I found it stunning.

Not sure how much of that was down to how it was filmed (because I think there were some artsy type shots, and blu ray merely enhanced the cinematography (is that a real word).

'Confessions' has finally dropped below the £10 mark on blu ray (it's currently available @ Amazon & HMV for £8.99) so have ordered my copy today

Pretty much agree with all of your previous comments...but I will say that although the soundtrack was good I must admit that I found it a bit distracting (there were a few times I found myself thinking that maybe it had been changed from what would have been used domestically

)...
