And they weren't funny on The One Ronnie, either.

How the eff did that get on Xmas Day TV?

Exactly what we said as we turned it off after 10 minutes. Dreadful.

Disappointingly bad but it is a series so I will give it another chance.

It was awful - as was The One Ronnie and Benidorm.

Thought The Royle Family was back on form though :D

The best Christmas TV was on Sky Sports 1 from 11pm. Hands down. Hope the repeat is as good today.

I enjoyed it. Not as vulgar as Little Britain (the latter episodes)

Royle Family was also good although Dave is beginning to steal the show. Missed Twiggy though :(

Benidorm has lost it. No Johnnie Vegas, no fatty and thinny gay couple, no baby Coolio  and Sue bleedin Pollard  At this point it was turned off.

Looks like I'm in the minority here but I love this show (although last night's was the weakest so far).

The Coffee Stand Woman alone is worth waiting for, brilliant.

I know many others who love it too, surprised by the reaction here.

I think if this had come before Little Britain, people would be raving. I guess Little Britain left people expecting more from them. Like I said, still watchable IMHO.

I have seen a few odd minutes of subsequent shows and my opinion that is dire hasn't changed.

All remarkably predictable, overplayed, OTT stereotypes and just lacking in actual wit.

Chuckled last night when they told a fat man he needed to buy two tickets because he was fat. They didn't give him two seats next to each other, though.

Some of the characters are good and some are very poor so the programme is very hit and miss.

Which to be honest is exactly how I found Little Britain, which I hardly raved about.

I don't agree, Little Britain started off with some good characters and ideas (Lou and Andy, the only gay in the village etc) but soon ran out of both and had to rely on taboo-breaking (bitty, pissing/vomiting old women). They've now continued in the same vein of cluelessness, it's only the early popularity of Little Britain that's still keeping them in prime time. IMO :P .

I have always been a Walliams and Lucas fan, and loved Little Britain (maybe because I live near Vicky Pollard country) :P

I saw LB at the theatre a couple of years ago and it was brilliant.

I do like Come Fly With Me too. My favourite character being Ian the Immigration officer.

Never been that big a fan of 'Little Britain' but ended up watching the first episode of 'Come Fly With Me' during the xmas break and I have to say that I thought that this was a comedy designed for quite possibly the lowest common denominator of the beeb's audience  .

The characters were shallow, unimaginative & in many cases quite offensive from a racial stereotype perspective. Did the makers of this show really not get that the 'fly on the wall' documentaries they were sending up are in reality comedies themselves :?: :? ...

I think the racist stuff comes from finding it unfunny.

It seems like a School doing an impression of LB doing Airline, to be honest.

I'm with RichT on this one.

Yes, it's a bit hit and miss (but then almost every sketch show is)... and the airline documentary is an obvious target... and it's not as good as Little Britain (given that was the best new comedy show for years, at least for the first two series, it would be astonishing if it was)....

...but with 99% of new stuff on TV being totally unwatchable, this show is at least trying to be a little different (and the racial/gay stereotypes are meant to be ironic, of course)... and at times it is very funny indeed.

Well I think so, anyway. :)
