Interesting to note that 10 of the 11 games in League One were played but ten of the 11 were postponed in league two, perhaps Christmas shopping and thought out insurance policies making it worthwhile to can these games in league 2. Surely League one grounds are similar to league two grounds as far as effort to get games on? Only 6 games were played in the whole of the second, third and fourth non-league tear. Yes ice and snow takes out huge chunks of the calender but this looks suspciously stategic in some cases to not get wiped out by saturday shoppers at Crimbo. The teams that did get the games on were Rochdale, who were top of league one; Newport, Dover and Woking, three of the top four after thos egames in the Blue Square South and second place Fleetwood(third to second) in the BSN. Hastings, second in the Ryman before play, also got the game on. SO the next time your game is called off or you are figuring which games will go when looking at transfers then remember this weekend! 8-)
