To be fair, Carson has been a good player for them. No reason for any new man to come in and drop him.

Look mate, if you wanna PM me your ZZ then fine.

Ive read your views and ive listened to your points
Some i agree with - some i dont...its a forum, that happens.

But just because someone doesnt agree with you certainly doesnt give you the right to be patronising and rude, as you have done on other threads, thus getting them locked.

Im becomming increasingly annoyed with your childish behaviour and contempt towards other members - it not on.

You have been quick to critise others and been stuborn in your defense - fine - but do it with some degree of eticate for god sake

Admin i suggest you lock this thread too.

SIGH.......
Its actually, Criticise stubborn and Etiquette fyg.

When Charlton appoint a new manager i think the ist thing he will be looking at is the defence, considering their perilous position.

I suspect there is every reason to believe that Myre, if fit, will be getting a look- in, like he did last season when Charltons form took a turn on the upward trend when he took over from Anderson.

You obviously have Carson in most of your teams, perhaps i can see where your coming from. :?

Not sure the Charlton defence has done a great deal wrong to be honest. They've kept 4 clean sheets and only conceded 18 goals in 12 games (1.5 per game) - that's not catostrophic. To put it in context Liverpool have conceded 15 and Tottenham 14. Fulham in 10th have a goal difference of -3 and Charlton in 20th -9 - every team between them has no worse or better goal difference than those.

I think the new manager might be more concerned about the fact that no defender or midfielder has scored a goal for Charlton in the league this season

Let's be honest a midfield consisting of Ambrose , Holland, Faye, Reid and Thomas just isn't going to get it done. I don't think Dowie spent the (in Charlton terms relatively substantial) sum of money he was given wisely.

Dave Jones has been touted as a possible replacement but I doubt he'd leave Cardiff as there is only one league position between them. Glenn Hoddle seems a likely proposition to me.

Charlton have confirmed that Les Reed has been appointed head coach on a permanent basis, with Mark Robson named as his assistant.

They've just promoted backroom boys. Done deal. So can't see there being a big difference in their line up in the short term.

Apparently they only have 1 point less in comparison to the corresponding fixtures last year but there football is/was a lot prettier than it was under AC (according to the Charlton fans on talkSPORT this morning!)

Haha, fair point :D

And im glad he's not picking up any either - seeing as i dont have him!!

Apparently he did make one cracking save that could have got him a 7+, but obviouslt it should take more than that!!

Have you seen Readings goals? Couldn't do much about the first, but he got chipped by Doyle for the second - so maybe thats a 'goalkeeping error'.

I still think he will pick up a fair few points, because i believe he is a good 'keeper in a poor side. Wont get many clean sheets but i expect him to pick up several 7's.

The wheels are a bit wobbly, but not off yet!!

Funny, this thread started off as "Charltons New Manager" and turned into another Carson slanging match. To get back to the point, I have heard a whisper that Alex McLeish is in the frame.

By no means is this a slanging match.

But i am sure myself and Dot will discuss Carson many more times throughout the season!!

As his forms dips, or rises, then a new thread will begin in January when Liverpool recall him and chuck him straight in the first team!!

Look at the Subject Matter at the top of the thread and it definitely says "Charlton's New Manager", or was this just a ruse to suck us into a new Carson debate.??

Um Yes it was a thread I STARTED.
I obviously could not fit all i wanted to say about him on the topic headline

so the main question was -is- would he see fit to continue using Carson as ist choice.
