Following on from previous discussions I'd like the propose the above.

Heres the plan -
- Each individual game will last 1-5 weeks.
- Games cannot have football related themes.
- Games must not rely soley on mort points scored = winner.
- Players sign up on a game by game basis not for the season
- Points will be awarded in a Grand Prix style scoring system.
- I am expecting people to think up games as well, I will be on hand to develop ideas suggested if required.
- It is encouraged that games celebrate the better things in life (games about war are not allowed (Pirates are a good thing not bad)

This is an ideas thread please invent your own games below allow others to suggest improvements.

Heres the first idea

The Chinese Banquet - Work night out
- Story - You are due to attend a works night out at your local Chinese resturant, having been please with the departmental results of late, your manager has kindly offered to cover all food costs, ideally he would be paying for all drinks but secretly you are relivied that is will not be a free for all booze up (your behaviour at the Christmas party nearly got you sacked).
Despite this your are still keen to fleece him. All was going to plan until it got to Friday 5pm. Having been logging onto FISO all afternoon, reading what sheep, cats, birds and host of other animals have to say about Derbydave's first draft TFF team, you have negleted to produce the sales report due today. fear not "it wont take an hour" you say, "ill meet you there", whilst you rattle off a shoddy peice of work you get a text message.

Rules-

- 5 Week Game
- Your weekly score (not including transfer deductions) is exchanged for dish from the follwoing menu.
- Xiong Mao
- e.g. 46 = Traditional Drunken Chinese Chicken - £7.45
- Some dishes have options for different meats (beef, chicken, prawn), I'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
- Lobster has a seasonal price - if anyone gets 226 points in one GW i will pay for a slap-up meal at their local Chinese.

Do you win by having the 5 most expensive dishes combined ie

£7.45 +
£4.65 +
£6.30 +
£8.10 +
£6.95

£33.45 Total

Therefore the winner would be the person who fleeces the most from the Boss.

That would be correct - Have a gold star

I was going to do it you had to eat the most/least carlories but that would be a nightmare

Imagine you are a top DJ (or failing that Chris Moyles) you love the charts, you love pop history and you love FPL (and Scrabble )

This game might be for you....

Every GW score is matched to that weeks Top 100 singles as per here

how many no 1 singles or
how many top 10s or
total record sales that act has had

or even

how points that acts name would score at scrabble

(Johnny Hates Jazz and ZZ Top would be good here)

Not as good as F1 or Pirates but it might be fun......

How about 5 card brag or Poker

Each game wk you are dealt a card based on your GW score
2 Clubs = 1
2 Diamond =2
2 Hearts = 3
2 Spades =4
3 Clubs =5 etc

up to
2 clubs = 53

etc

Your hand is made up of 5 GW scores best hand wins

The Boat Race or Henley Regatta

You team up into teams of 2, 4 or 8 and your team all try to score the same points each week. Boat loses a length for each point you are away from the team average

eg team A scores 42, 45, 51 & 54 - Average score =48 - team loses 18 lengths

The team which loses the least lengths after 5 GW's wins the race


Bob-a-job week

Each week a list of tasks is posted with a payment for each finished job. Most pocket money earnt in bob-a-job week wins

Modern Pentathlon

I know there are 5 events, can't remember what (show jumpimg, shooting nd X country running are 3 I think)


Name that Tune

First person to correctly predict their own teams points for a particular week - Points earnt for naming in 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 weeks - bonus points for getting multiple tunes right

The Fab 4

Select one player from each category GK, DF, MF, FW to score points for you each week - you can only select a player once over the 5 week period - top score wins

Select 1 player from each EPL team. No cash restriction on squad value.

Nominate 11 starters - must be a recognised FPL formation

Starters score as normal
9 reserves score 50% of there points total for the 5 week period.

Most points wins

Squad must include

2 GK's
7 DF
7 MF
4 FW

Mr Potato Head

Collect all the pieces to be the first to assemble Mr Potato Head

Score ends in 0 - Miss a go
Score ends in 1 - collect his eyes
Score ends in 2 - collect his nose
Score ends in 3 - collect his mouth
score ends in 4 - collect his ears
score ends in 5 - collect his hat
score ends in 6 - return a body part
score ends in 7 - collect any body part
score ends in 8 - collect any 2 body parts
score ends in 9 - steal a body part from any other competitor

First person to complete Mr Potato Head wins - or person with most body parts after 5 weeks wins

Operation

Perform vital and not so vital operations on your patient

Predict the last digit of your teams score, you are allowed a variable to indicate the difficulty of the opeartion

Water on the knee - 4 points either side - you predict a score ending in 5, your team's score must end with either a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9

Funny Bone - 3 points either side

Liver transplant - 2 points either side

Lobotomy - 1 point either side

Heart bypass - on the money get the exact final digit

You get paid for successful Ops, but have to pay fees for negligence on failures

And it gets worse

Was there a predict how many points you are going to get in there? Add up the points away, and person with lowest total wins.

Eleven pin bowling

Lasts 20 GWs (plus and extra one in the frame 10 bonus thing)

A player score of 3 or more points knocks down 1 pin (all 11 players scoring 3 or more is a strike). if you knock down 7 on the first bowl you have to knock down at least 4 on the next week to get the spare

scores are worked out in normal bowling way (but with 11 pins)
