FS Record: 2x Weekly Mini League Winner 2010-2011, 1 x WDT top 100 2011-2012.
So City and United off to the Mickey Mouse Cup, is this a good thing for those who have players from either side?

United are poor and deserve to go out of the Champions League, going to be embarrassing for Fergie.

Lots of things to think about this coming transfer window with the Africa Cup Of Nations, Injuries, Europa League exits and entries, start of the FA Cup and that City v United match.

It's a massive spanner in the works from a Dreamteam perspective as I can't imagine either Manc team putting out any of their big players for the Europa League. Back to the drawing board for the tactics for the next window....

No European games in the next window. You may want to ditch 6 though so three now and 3 at TW4.

Disgraceful really, but this is what happens when you take your opponents for mugs (Fergie) and don't do your homework (Mancini).

I wonder when the United Megastore are going to release the limited edition 'we can't get out of this competition quick enough' kit.

Is this really a cause to panic and change strategy?
I dont think so, particularly in the case of Man City.
Say City had got through and played a top team, the likes of Silva would not have played the league games before, just like earlier in the season.
If City get to the last 8 of the Europa league I can see strong sides being played.
Although the knockout rounds in Europe are a bonus, only a handful of the top players play all the league games plus European games.

A voice of reason at last. No need to panic.

What gets me is that teams spend all season trying to make it into Europe.

Lets take Villa and Spurs for example:

The both play teams that are never going to get anywhere while playing their best team in the league to make it back to Europe.

Just does not make sense to me.

I'm not worried about my Manchester players - don't forget that there's no European games in the next window anyway - I'll be doing my worrying come February.

Spurs main aim is to qualify for the champions league, they couldnt give a dam about the Europa league,it will be interesting to see if City or Utd take it seriously or whether their focus will be on winning the title.
