Going to Budapest with my lad for the World Triathlon Championships next week.

Can anybody recommend any good pubs or somewhere we can watch EPL on the Saturday?
While he's not interested in the drinking - I've noticed that there are Irish themed pubs etc! We are staying fairly centrally on the Pest side.

As you would expect, there are a few Irish pubs in Budapest and they are ok.

I've only been to 2, The Longford and Becketts. I was working there each week until about 6 months ago, and they were good for food, and also the football. Never seen them overly busy though, or full of the old 'oirish crack', but they're still nice.

Both are on the Pest side and pretty central. If you want to PM me your hotel I could probably give you directions.

Good luck.

Cheers Kelser72. I'll send you a PM - when I've looked up the address of the hotel.
