Wigan are playing Hartlepool - surely he must score.

I've picked him in nearly half of my entries this year and I'm disappointed. I've watched vidoes of him on You Tube and he does look class.

Lots hope things improve

He has only played 2 games so far, should do well against the monkeyhangers tomorrow,Rooney is 7m more expensive and there on the same points now thats disapointing

Definitely too early to give up on him just yet! Personally i don't have him in any of my teams but he's only played 2 games so far and he may well bag a hat-trick tomorrow  As for rooney.... I can't see him being worth the 8.5m up to TW1. He may well come back from this magical bug and dominate the next 5 games like we've seen him do (in which case i'll eat my words) but i honestly can't see him bagging as many points in this 1st period as a few of the other big guns.

One of the rare occasions when I was about to make a post but found that someone else had already done it on my behalf.

Absolutely at his price he doesnt have to get points every game and that many overall to boot!

Now if you had Rooney, well thats more of a worry :-)

Do you have an exclusive on Team news then.

My guess is he wont even start.

I'd like to be wrong though.

He hasn't suggested he will start, just that he should score.

I see no reason why he wouldn't start for confidence reasons.

True he aint suggested he will start but he hopes he will score. Ambiguos eh.

My take on Carling Cup games 2nd round are that the vast majority of ist team players from premiership teams dont even feature on the bench.

As i said i hope i'm wrong as i too took the plunge on a cheap CK enabler.

Was thinking the same but as Dot says Carling Cup is normally cack for FF points. Don't have him in many teams but is in my Elite league team (like most others as well!)

Boselli should start, they have to get a win or there could be the first manager in the premiership to get sacked. But hey that could be coming after the easy game they have against Spurs

Well, ive got Boselli also in some, but right now i'm here scratching my head as to whether my trio of Torres, Drogba and Balotelli might out-do him.

It's a toughie!

:D

Dot,

I don't have any idea if he will start - he probably won't, I just wanted to prompt some discussion on whether or not he might be a wasted pick.

I am hoping he'll play tomorrow and scroe me a few points.

If we can all get away to TW1 with him having ( everything crossed here 30 points in the bag) then great but i think Martinez playing a full strength team in CC 2nd round and their record buy might be just a bit to much to hope for. Again i'll state i hope i'm wrong.

Afterall its only Jeff Stellings team.

My 'Elite' team also has Boselli...nil pwan......Rooney....nil pwan......Nasri...injured......Kolarov....injured......and I'm 5th!! (high standard in there this year!! )

Back to Boselli - I think a good striker and worth the punt @ 1.5mill - what worries me more is how bad Wigan are.....will he get any service at all this season?? I think he's had 2 goal attempts in the first 2 games so far....hit the bar with a header against Blackpool and keeper saved against Chelsea. Lack of supply is my main concern.
Tough anyway - we're all stuckwith him til TW1 - I'm more concerned about losing 2 players for the whole of the first window!

They're all on the bench mate, you never know. Cahill could pick up an easy 5 points tonight, reckon N'Zogbia will feature too!

Great news on Boselli though, hat-trick anyone?
