3 minutes of effort this took.

The only basis in truth the above message has is that there was controversy when a Poundland worker in Northern Ireland was asked to remove her poppy to comply with the company staff dress code. The worker refused and said that she will return to work wearing the poppy. A social networking appeal followed which forced the hand of Poundland executives who then removed the uniform restriction, now allowing any employees to wear a poppy if they so wish.

As for the other assertion that "the Body Shop" also banned staff from wearing poppies, we are unable to find any evidence of this at all. It may have been incorrectly inspired by an incident in 2009 where there was a local dispute when an MP requested shoppers avoid a BodyCare store because they requested staff not to wear poppies, but again the ban was later revoked, and BodyCare is nothing to do with "the Body Shop." In fact "the Body Shop" has released a statement on their Facebook page confirming that they have never banned staff from wearing poppies.

The rumour is innacurate and outdated and should not be circulated.
