OK, Ideally looking for 20 players. Fairly simple premise, you select one of the 20 EPL teams and use them for your 'block' defence throughout the season.

Your midfield and attack can be made up from players from any club but you must stick with a goalkeeper and defenders from your selected team only. Should one of your 'block' d become injured / dropped / rested / suspended you can choose to use a transfer to replace him but it must be with another defender from your selected club.

All teams must be public, to allow me to do random checks throughout the season to ensure no-one is breaking the rules.

LEAGUE NAME: Chip off the old block
LEAGUE PIN: XXXXXXXX

At the moment my team is set up with a Stoke City block, but I am happy enough to take the last remaining place should there be a big enough take up

Available teams: Please post your team name and fiso id next to your selected team - can your team win the Block Premier League

Any of the formations are permitted, obviously 352 means you need only select 3 defenders and a GK from your selected team.

Hmm, I can see a problem with uptake here after the first 9 or 10 blocks have gone.

Yes, well I guess I could have gone for Blackpool - was a close thing. If we don't get going, I'll just run it as a regular team. Still, if noone chooses a block of a certain team, we'll still have a few in the league.

Ahh, but the cheaper blocks will allow you to have the likes of Drogba, Lampard, Fabregas, Rooney et al all in one team. The more expensive blocks will need to have an enabler or two.

My prediction is Blackpool will not finish bottom of the block league (if they are picked that is)

I'll ltake Aston villa if it goes ahead! Can't cut and paste as my mobile is being a muppet!

You could get 20 people to show an interest and then draw their teams after they have joined your league?

We'll see how many we get to sign up this way. I'll keep this in mind should we be struggling for numbers later.

Would it be a good idea that the team names are literally the club of choosing so the league table reads just like the premiership?

Will be interesting to see how the final 20 finish compared to the real 20 in may, could Villa win the league?! Er no probably not, sorry Villa fans

covered in the 2nd post :D

All formations are eligible - a 352 simply means you only have to select 3 defenders and a gk from your specified team - with 442, 433 and 451 you must select 4 defenders and a gk from your specified team.

Birmingham baggsed - in the 10,000,000,000-1 chance that the team actual does well - right of rule breach reserved at later stage

"darn it missed out on £50,000 - still, won the Block party league" is not something I ever want to ever have to say.

I think a disclaimer that if your team is in with a fighting chance of an overall prize that you can dismantle your block from the end of February seems fair - however you will lose the right to be crowned Block Party Premiership Champion.

Entirely at your discretion, I will post occasional updates on this thread during the season & will convert the team names if needed. :D

As much as I hate them I'll take Spuds please

As a suggestion would it make sense to allow your team to have one non-block DF or 3-5-2? This might give the teams a fighting chance in case one position is rotated or occupied by a MF or whatever

Tottenham Hotspur delighted to announce that Foxtrot will lead them in the inaugural season of the Block Party Premier League.

The League Chairman welcomes Foxtrot & announces that unless there is a situation where a Club has less than the required players listed in the TFF player list semi blocks will not be allowed.

However, individual scenarios will be looked at as and when they arise, with the advice of fellow BPPL Managers taken on board. Decisions will be made within a 24 hour period.
