Celebrity version in August, followed by a 13 week run of the usual stuff. Signed a 5 year deal with Channel 5 - but Davina will not be presenting.

£200m.

Still amounts of effort involved in not watching it on C5 is identical to that involved in not watching it on C4.

In C5's case it will only be replacing a load of old tosh anyway. But £200m is a lot of cash.

Ok, we are free to ignore all other media as well as Ch 5 (nee 4) but it is the way it appears to take over all the other media too as if what some bimbos and prats are up to is of major importance in the world. It is very hard to escape.

I guess the sheer fact it is on Ch5 will reduce this and instead they'll concentrate on the sheer excitement of the latest Pop Factor candidates' uber exciting lives. What fun.

Richard Desmond owns the Star, Express and OK magazine as well as Channel 5. So expect massive coverage there (lots of exclusives, etc), with The Sun and others either ignoring it or slagging it off.
