I thought the private vote would add to the competitive nature that we all share plus also helps to add variety to the nominations, how easy is it to struggle on naming 3 TV presenters so then to sift through other peoples nominations for inspiration?

Had a thought and public nominations make sense in the fact that each person nominating can post pictures of their less main stream women, if you nominate kylie you obviously don't need to but a random model/actress that's lesser known may require a picture to help her out in progressing through the early rounds, in the final 64 pictures will be required throughout to aid voting

So who wants to set it all up? I seem to make a pigs ear of things like this so reckon a more seasoned organiser would be appropriate, can't see it being anywhere as near complicated as barrys movie world cup with the fewer categories

Someone asked for a Venn diagram (can't find the post so maybe I imagined it). Well here it is - The little white section in the middle seems to be the 'Cheryl Cole Centre' The area belonging to sexy, beautiful & cool women who lack the magic 'sex factor'.

Where different women fit is entirely subjective & the borders of the minger circle will decrease with the addition of alcohol

The minger circle should only bisect 'cool' surely. Beauty or sexiness are incompatible.

It would appear I've labelled the minger & beautiful circles the wrong way round. This means the area directly above the white section is the 'holy grail' of which you speak. The white section is someone who is 'pretty, sexy & cool ?' but lacks the 'sex factor'

Nope someone can be a beautiful person but plug ugly to look at. Then of course there is the alcohol factor where the minger circle decreases and the other 3 circles increase.

There is also the time factor, a category may fit someone today but not in 10 years time

& finally there is the 'moodiness factor' which can decrease the sexy/beauty/cool circles until only minger remains

This is all way too complimactaed. I either fancy someone or I don't. There is no science to it.....

Mingers can be sexy (Barbara Streisalnd etc, bit not beautiful).

Speaking as the one who indirectly started this thread, the original criteria were beautiful/sexy/pretty, not beautiful/sexy/cool. Cool doesn't come into it, because that's a part of personality, and I was talking about physical attraction. You only really know if someone's cool once you've met them - if a girl is trying to look cool using tattoos or outlandish dress then almost by definiton she isn't cool. Gwen Steffani, Pink, Lady Gaga etc are more pantomime than sexy.

Attempting to be cool is kind of like flirting, in that it's another way of trying too hard. Don't get me wrong, flirting can be fun, but most flirts I've known are not sexy - their very flirting makes them too available, and it's no challenge going after a woman who's easy.

Cool is more a personality thing than a physical thing: self-assuredness, being your own person, never trying to impress, not running with the herd, not being an arse. These are admirable qualities, but they're not particularly sexy.

Totally agree, and I thought the point was that sexy did not require prettiness\beauty; in fact it rarely involves it.

I don't disagree cool is a personality trait but as a personality trait it comes out in how someone looks in how they express themself with their own particular sense of style which then makes it an exterior attractive quality

style in essence is cool, otherwise why do people describe someones new trainers as cool, or a funky haircut as cool? because the person thats saying it feels the thing they are complimenting is cool and are attracted to it in a visual sense, not everone has to think something or someone looks cool to be cool but thats the same with sexy and beautiful

beauty is in the eye of the beholder just like cool is

having beautiful and pretty is like having stunning and alright, they are both facial qualities and ones better than the other, pointless
