An excellent eclectic watch and listen. Particularly enjoyed the excerpts featuring Love, Judy Collins and The Incredible String Band. Others might prefer to catch Tim Buckley, The Doors, Tom Paxton, Jackson Browne or Iggy Pop.

The Man Who Recorded America is repeated on BBC4 late this Sunday night and can be viewed online for a few days more via http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... a_Records/

Being typically vague, there is a series starting on BBc3 or 4, on a Friday (?) at 9pm, which could be of interest....

Could have been, I think he is more than over-rated, so I would have ignored it - and I had the sprogs.

They stayed up watching the Helen-Bonham Carter thing, or was it the Italian Job? They are getting almost sophisticated for 4, 6 and 9

The Travelling Wiberrys were rubbish.

The often excellent Tom Petty saddled with a load of useless has-beens.

It was pretty rubbish, except for her being in it, and Nigel Slater appearing at the end as his first boss at The Savoy.

Still the kids sat in silence watching it, so I didn't complain..........
