Just had a look myself & must admit I'm not keen but do think I need to give myself some time to get used to it before deciding whether or not the site's taken a step backwards...

Looks like its styling itself and dsigning itself for windows 7.5 and 8. Perhaps its making it more app friendly for tablets and make it more universal across different devices.

wow  was not expecting this feedback
I think the redesign is amazing. Hard lines, flat graphics. All information and links are where I expect it to be (for a change)
May need my head checked judging by the response in this thread

I said earlier that I like it as data is much more accessible and easy to find. Things may need fine tuning but it's a step forwards.

Horrid design and needed more testing before launch.

Too much clumsy white space and the live commentary of the footy kept missing descriptions of the goals. And they broke my fixture grid spreado :-D

About the only good thing is that I think Sportsday Live has a permanent address now.

I remember when FISO changed from Pipsuite......I changed my username to 'Idontlikeit'.

I got used to it, and I can't remember why I liked the old one.

BBC...first time today...too yellow...hated it....couldn't find my way around.

But there are parts of it I quite like now.

I'm gonna give it some time.

Good to see someone else with an open mind, especially a Liverpudlian!

Congratulations on the half-century, sted; here's to the next 50.

Oh, and good luck in the Cup (TFF-TFC).

The website is definitely a step forward and contains a lot more information in one place usually via some neat drop down items giving extra information that the old site never had. Hopefully they will heed all the negative comments they seem to be getting about the amount of yellow and tone it down a bit.

I'm getting more used to it but I still don't like it.

There is way too much crap on the homepage and the links to more dedicated areas are hard to find (e.g. no special link to the ACN on the football page). You might be doing a big read of a page and suddenly come across the top 3 premiership scorers - why? - you'd never be looking for it there so it is all rather pointless. Also no way of losing half the guff - tweets etc. If you could personalise it then it may become useable but is just way OTT and jumbled as it stands. The annoying bright yellow sums it up.

I also tried it on my phone - the sheer amount of stuff makes it even harder to navigate so it is a step backwards if thy are tying to keep up with modern useage of the site.

Trying to keep an open mind, I did like the matchday live text stream yesterday, and actually thought that worked well on the iphone as well, but still hate the home page with a passion.

The main thing you want when you access the homepage is the headlines. Why they have to be crammed into a tiny column down the middle of the site is a mystery to me. Colour etc no issues.

Am ok with "top prem scorers" etc - as long as they keep it there you'll get to know it.

My main gripe with the old hasn't changed. To get a team's fixtures you have to go to that team's page and click fixtures, to get another team's you go to their page and do the same. Once you are on the fixture page you should be able to select the ones you want.

Too much clutter, don't need the multimedia and Twitter etc. filling up space on the front page - just need the top stories, headlines and current big events to be prominent. Other sites such as Sky look cluttered due to adverts, the BBC doesn't need to have that problem, the homepage should be simple and easy to read.

I do like the new live text commentary, though... and as for the yellow, anyone remember the pre-2003 version? If they're going to back in time, bring back the Name Game, Robbo and Chants of the Week!

It took me ages to find the Championship news

Not very user friendly :|

The "more headlines" bit is in the middle of the page - I dont think it's very well thoughtout.

I'll probabaly get used to it - 'spose I'll have to :?

I'm still not convinced.

IMO this website is so hideous if you took your laptop down the park and loaded it up, birds would drop dead from the sky...

very annoying that some (think mostly the 'live') links, you can't right click to open in new tab and can only left click on them.

And the link to Sportsday Live has been in three different places on the last three mornings. I spend less time on the football page than I used to, so the redesign has been a failure for me.

Putting the colours to one side, the main problem I have is that they have ruined the best results page on the web. :( .

You used to be able to look at that page and it showed the scorers underneath, now it just shows the result, and you have to click to see the scorers  . This is a massive difference, the main reason I would go to that page was to browse who had scored lately. I can't be clicking on every result. . I guess I will have to see if i can find a different site which displays the info the way I like it.

Edit: Found a descent one without too much trouble, but it used to be handy on BBC as it was just one click away from the fixtures page which was already bookmarked.

BBC 0 Murdoch 1 (bbc own goal)

Snap - although it does look old-fashioned compared to the BBC site

The desktop pop up windows on that link are good too.

Are the results under Home->Football->Leagues & Competitions->{choose league}->Results not what you are looking for then?

Home->Football->Results shows the results for the last few days only.

Appreciate humans don't like change, but there is just too much going on - information overload, much of it unnecessary, and/or should be on a secondary page. Complete mess, and I'll be looking elsewhere for info.

You still need to click the arrow on the left to find the scorers in each game whereas before it was all on one page.

True. An expand all option would be good.
