I can't believe how many wonderful fims haven't made it through. I'm particularly sorry not to see The Breakfast Club, Body Heat, The Exorcist, In Bruges, Gandhi, Towering Inferno, Robocop, Scream, The Sound of Music, Lost in Translation, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Jean de Florette, Coma, Don't Look Now, Hot Shots, and ET , but there you go.

But for my four nominations I'm going to go with:

One film I've not heard a mention of is The Beach. I think it was a very well made adaptation of the book so I'll put that forward.

I thought this had made it through. If it didn't then well done for nominating it.

I was hoping to wait until all the other polls had finished before I nominated films that didn't make it, but just realised the deadline for this is tonight so I'd better do it now.

There's a lot of good films that missed out and I find it quite hard to just pick 4. First I'm not going to nominate anything that's part of a series where another film in that series has already gone through. So Godfather 2, Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2 and Jaws 3-D ( ), good as they are will have to miss out.

Also no point me nominating anything that someone else already nominated in this section (like 2001 Space Odysee which would have probably been my first choice).
