If the guy with team 3 has any sense,he'll swop Gallas for Vermaelen,as Gallas could be out for a month after breaking down in training with his ongoing calf muscle problem.

As to your own team, perhaps worth swopping Torres for Drogba ?

Shawcross returns from his ban on 20th March v Tot, so is probably a "hold".

had put lamp in then changed my mind and went for Torres - or at least was going to before the site slowed right down on my..

still don't know if it went through in time.

will guess the other 2 have went for Drogba though.

FWIW I would've put the armband on Lampard this weekend. I was just trying to do exactly that for the last 20 mins  Fortunately, I logged in at work and changed it from Fabregas to Drogba, but I fancy Lampard to score big against his old side who are playing badly.

That would be true in a "normal" season.

This season go Torres

bigger! Time yet though, Bazza. Torres could yet perform.

Edit: You didn't put it on Torres. Getting my posts crossed. Soz.

and the guy in 3rd has shipped out Gallas and Modric for Corluka and Lampard... so he's now down to 3 transfers too.

so I'll be down to 3rd but I don't think they'll be that much in it, I've still got Torres to play tomorrow to save my bacon.....

unless team number 3 brings him in to shut me out now he's in the lead... would have to be for rooney though.......

in a half drunken state I've attempted to calculate the score for the week and I reckon...

Team 1 - 1108 with Torres to play
Me - 1085 with Torres to play
team 3 - 1079

I may be waaaay wrong though

bittersweet night tonight - Torres restored my lead but he was nearly my captain

here's my thinking for my last 3 transfers - advice appreciated!!

21st - Torres to Drogba for 3-0
28th Drogba to Torres for 3-1
13th Torres to Drogba for 5-4

as of now this will give me 12 games, 21st to 28th is a 3 for 0 and will cancel out any advantage team 3 has and might panic him into a silly move.....

thoughts? is this too risky given my defence?

I just logged in to see if you had Torres, barry. It's annoying when a captaincy choice doesn't work, but how often does any player get 2 goals and 2 assists? :? Mind you, had I had more transfers left, I would have defo brought him in last night, although he wouldn't have been captainable, of course.

I think those changes make a lot of sense, barry, although I will assume your rivals will have a similar plan, so captaincy choices will be crucial, and of course you won't be able to transfer your captain in and out in a week. Will that use up your entire quota of transfers for the season?

Talking of captains, worth a careful look this week with the double gameweeks falling differently to other games.

team 1 has Torres & Drogba already and I don't think it works with Torres to Rooney
team 3 has Rooney & Drogba

so it does fall into my hands

yes it would use up my last 3 transfers!

Best of luck in your league Bazza.

I'm on the charge, still 8 transfers left. Image

It's just a pity that Sky refused my request to change my cappo, after the issue's with the log-in this week.

can't decide between Rooney (first thought) Milner or N'zogbia (doubles) or Fabregas

stuck Rooney in as I don't trust fab to be fit, and N'Zogbia and Milner have hardly been setting the heather on fire....

unless anyone knows different!

Well Milner scored a rare away goal, which sounded a bit lucky. I went for Milner purely because I think many will miss he has a doubler this week, and Rooney can't keep on scoring every single game - can he? :? A similar decision will be needed next week, but Chelsea have a fairly mouth watering doubler....

I keep forgetting you guys are involved in the fiso league battle for the top and will be keeping your cards close to your chest so I won't be getting much open advice on here

I think Milner will get MOTM too, so by quick reckoning....

team1 - 2pts
me - 13 pts
team2 - 17 pts

that's just scores so far, I'm confident Rooney will score well this weekend.

I need to go sort out my transfer plan with concideration to captain choices :?

and now a possible N'zogbia injury too
