My scores are nothing to write home about but I thought I would get the ball rolling ...

I think I have understood the scoring system

In August I was in 179th position in YTM ie top 0.25 % - 9 points

I finished 6683rd in the Channel 4 game ie top 20 % - 4 points

So , 13 points to beat

Shame TFF doesn't count this month ..

The problem with this competition is we have to claim our positions ourselves I think.
But I don't know how many managers would remember to check points on deadline which all different dates.
For example I can't remember my last week's YTM ranking.I'm playing around 25 different FF games.
So,most probably I'm gonna forget the future deadlines as well.
And how can this competition tells who is the best overall FF player.

I'm 18170th in Channel4 and 107th in YTM at the moment.

I've edited Andye's post to repeat the rules. Andye's score of 13 points is calculated correctly.

As another example, for Month 1, I was:

Ch 4 - 18,227 out of 64,161 teams = 28.4% i.e. top 30% and 3 pts.
YTM - 263rd out of 81,123 = 0.32% i.e. top 0.5% and 9 pts.

As TFF does not count this month, my overall score for Month 1 is 12 pts.

I make that 8 points. Probably my high point of the season!

But surely academic as Rui gets 40 pts for winning YTM doesn't he ? Zoran about 35 and Mike Shipley at least 30pts for ytm alone.

I really don't see why it has to be on a claim basis. You can see the leaderboards of each comp, so you know a lot of the contenders without bothering with claims. I agree there might be a case for someone who has teams just off the leaderboard in all three comps but let them claim, and work out the ones we do know about. Set a top 3 and ask anyone if they can beat this to come forward. Just my opinion of course, but it would give the competition a bit more credibility I would have thought.

All i know is on

CH4 = 4574 which i believe is 7pts
YTM = 151st which i believe is 12pts

my total for the month i think is 19pts

Ch4 (August email): 2635/64161 = 4.11%, 6 points for top 5%

YTM (August leaderboard): 3061/81123 = 3.77%, 6 points for top 5%

Total = 12 points

Sorry, top 1% (i.e. 0.7%) is 8 points not 12.

So 15 pts in total. Still beats me.

The rules of the FISO/Fanbanta Champion of Champions Competition re August 07's monthly prize are that:

1. The person must have entered a team in both YTM and Channel 4.

2. That person must make a claim by midnight on 11 September.

So none of the above 3 score any points in CofC unless they adhere to these 2 rules.

I think you've just been reading from the example TFF finishing positions for last year (which I will edit out of the first post now). I think your points are:

Ch 4 is 7% so top 10% is 5 points.
YTM is 0.18% so top 0.2% is 10 points.

15 points total.

YTM:

August: 5th

5/81,123 = 0.08% = 18 points
Bonus for 4-10th place = 8 points

C4:

August: 35,327th

35,327/64,161 = 55.06% = 0 points
