Which was arguably a home game?

Anyone with insider info on Wilshere, the website seems to imply it won't be long before his back?

It doesn't feel right for this match. I have a feeling Arsenal are going to blow it tonight. Why, I don't know but the force is telling me. I hope I've made an ass of myself because I'm desperate for Gerviniho to get CL league games.

He was injured preseason, and not expected to be back for the first game; also Gervinho is suspended for 3 games, so Walcott and Arshavin should start in those three.

At full strength, who takes the 3 positions in the middle for Arsenal?

Cheers

Wilshere & Song definitely. Ramsey probably the last spot.

I dunno abzywabzy, Wenger seems to love Diaby and rarely leaves him on the bench when he's fit. However he hasn't strung together a notable run of games in five years at the club and I see no reason for that to change this year. As things stand the midfield trio for most of the season will probably be Song Wilshere Ramsey. I do hope Arsene signs someone there though.

From arsenal.com

Quote:
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said: “We are delighted to have signed Chu. He will add true quality to our attacking forces and will be a valuable addition to the squad.”

The deal is subject to the completion of formal registration processes.

Chu Young Park will wear the No 9 shirt at Arsenal. The striker prefers to be known as 'Ju' and will therefore have J. Y. Park as his shirt name.

Hopefully going to be a busy 24 hrs..........

Will Arteta start for the Gunners?

Walcott-Ramsey-Song-Arteta

Gervinho-Van Persie

Am certain RVP will remain the penalty taker.

Just hope Arteta stays fit given his last season or two.

Yes, I had originally thought of Gervinho or the Korean guy playing with RVP up front, but I am just not sure that we can afford to have just Song defending behind three attacking midfield midgets and 2 strikers. To be honest, I've no idea how this team will be set up in the next few games.

I'm not an Arsenal supporter, but I'm sure Gervinho, who was Arsenal's best player in the CL game, will play before Benayoun or Arshavin

When all fit the back 5 picks itself

Song will hold and Wilshere will go box to box

Up front will be RVP

But then there are three picks from Walcott, Arshavin, Diaby (he is still a top class player IMO) Benayoun, Arteta, Gervinho, Ramsey, Rossicky ........................ plus the three new youngsters.

At present i'd say we'd go with a front three of Gervinho, Walcott and RVP up front with Song, Arteta and Ramsey in midfield given the injuries etc.

They'll probably try Pint Of guiness head (Song) coz he's shite at centre-half.

Humble question: how does Arsenal midfield and attack line up once Diaby is back? Does Arteta get shifted further forward?

Hopefully for (Arsenal fans),Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's hat-trick last night for England's U21's will promote him to the slot in right midfield instead of Walcott.

Diaby is a versitile player for Arsenal he has played LM,CM and just behind the striker which i think is his best position. To have a stab at your question Arteta could get pushed forward but equally he could remain where he is or even get dropped.I would imagine Diaby will be eased back in so the picture will become more clearer once he has made an appearance.

Thanks. So basically there's no Arsenal midfielder who will definitely play and will definitely be in an attacking position at the moment then!

Short term i would go with Ramsey in the FPL game as he seems to have found a bit of form but long term i would just wait and see.
