Mod note: discussions on Arsenal's attendance figures moved to Football Opinions forum. The tone and subject were unsuitable for the SCK forums, which should be for facts and opinions of immediate use to fantasy football managers.

Thankyou. Hopefully we can keep this on topic again. Decent performance tonight. Actually looked like a partnership at centre back.

We were a little cautious but that's not surprising given that a draw was always going to be a decent result and that we've conceded a few later goals away from home in the CL.

I thought they were there for the taking in the second half but wh,en you get a game where both sides are content with a draw then a game like that often happens.

A win at home against them and we're through and a win at home to Dortmund and we're champs with a game spare.

But we're in crisis right?

Success does not equal getting to the last 16. But it's a long long way from crisis.

Success for you would be getting into the competition in the first place.

Success for Arsenal might actually be WINNING ANY EUROPEAN TROPHY!
something that wont happen in your lifetime and certainly not mine.

.....and here we go again.

Not sure what the Arteta comment is based on. Think he's looked very accomplished in a slightly more withdrawn role than he had for Everton. Rosicky seems to have found a new lease of life and hopefully some much needed confidence. Jenkinson looks a good signing whilst there are promising signs from Andre Santos, albeit he looks like he needs to lose a bit of suet and learn to take a few less risks at the back.

Most worrying for me at the moment is up top, not at the back. Clearly there's not enough confidence to give Park a game yet and Chamakh is clearly a worry. I think that when the inevitable RvP injury comes, Wenger will stick Walcott up there and that could make or break his career. I just don't think he's good enough as a winger and, if playing as a lone striker proves unsuccessful, it might just be time to cut our losses with him.

The player I still can't work out is Arshavin :?: Looks terrible when he starts games but, when he comes on as sub, often looks dangerous. Is it fitness, confidence?? I don't know??

All in all there have been signs in the last few weeks that a bit of the passing game is returning and, at times against Spuds, looked almost back to our best.

Interesting to see what the next few weeks bring (aside from the obvious over-hyped attendances, lack of atmosphere, myopic manager, dirty tactics etc etc etc...)

+ 1

We're not out of the woods yet but we're 4 points back from Spurs and Liverpool, pretty much qualified for the CL knockouts, which given that they are both going great guns and we are in crisis aint bad

Six wins from seven games, 4-0 away win yest, looking much more assured at the back (no coincidence thats happened with the return of Verminator!), upto fifth.

Wonder if the Arsene Out brigade are planning anymore 'protest marches'

Although Gervinho can be frustrating, I do think he's added some directness up front, be interesting to see what happens when he goes to african nations cup - hoping Arshavin finds some form near the level he was once playing at.

And god forbid RVP breaks as we look woefully short of goals without him, but am just whispering that, don't want to tempt fate
