2009/10 AOL Fantasy Football based on EPL and powered by Fantasy League.

# PRIZES: The Game has a prize pool of £5,000. The unique prize for the overall winner is £5,000 and will be awarded to the Manager who has the 3 best months period cumulated at the end of the Game. Final scores will be calculated after the Game ends on 10th May 2010.

# Game periods will run from the following dates:

* Game Period 1: Sat 15th Aug - Mon 31 August
* Game Period 2: Sat 12th Sep - Mon 5th Oct
* Game Period 3: Sat 17th Oct - Mon 9th Nov
* Game Period 4: Sat 21st Nov - Mon 13th Dec
* Game Period 5: Tue 15th Dec -Tue 29th Dec
* Game Period 6: Sat 9th Jan - Mon 8th Feb
* Game Period 7: Tue 9th Feb - Mon 7th Mar
* Game Period 8: Sat 13th Mar - Mon 4th Apr
* Game Period 9: Sat 10th Apr - Mon 10th May

It's the 1st time I've seen this. Did they do one last year. Looking for quick tactics, is 5 defenders best set up?

AOL have basically taken over the Channel 4 monthly game (which used to be BBC monthly).

I'm playing this in a works league having played Channel 4 last year.
I'd be up for entering a team in a league here if anyone else is interested. I don't mind setting the league up, but give me an idea of interest before I go ahead though.

Why 5 defenders? I think a strong defence is required, but 4-4-2 is best set up, more midfielders required for goals/assists.

Looks to me like you can change your formation when doing the transfers - ie take a centre back out and put in a midfielder. You could therefore start with 5 & change later.

Anyone explain how you can have 34 points on the week and only 10 on the month - Am I missing something?
