... what score or position you'll need to be in to stand any chance of winning the competition at the next transfer window? Where were you at that stage, Chrismar, if you don't mind me asking? I have two very different teams in the top 1000 at the moment and I keep telling myself that they still stand a chance but the top teams are still pulling away slowly but surely and I'm starting to think that there is little hope. OK, I knew that clearly at the start of the season but having done so well so far, it is a shame to let it go! The problem seems to be that you can plan to beat the top team by cleaver transfers but you have to beat ALL the teams above you to even stand a chance of coming top. I think that this means that transfers will have to be brave to even stand any chance - you can't bring in the likes of Essien, Barry and Doyle because you know before you do it, someone above you will have already done the same. So, time to start looking for the obscure in a combination that no-one else will even consider. Any ideas ... keeping in mind that as soon as you reply, that combination will be useless as someone else above you will probably use it!?!

Top 1000 is a good shout for now. I think I was about 500th or someting around this time last year but then I came 92nd in the month in January which got me into the top 100. I'm not in the running this year. Not many people have Kuyt but then he hasn't got many points so maybe that's why!

Keep the faith Kuyt comes good... VERY GOOD.

Since the transfer window in October one team has stood out for me bigtime but i have not mentioned it and this team transfered in Kuyt then
team name 'STEVE' still currently in top 10.

That's really interesting, Chrismar, thanks. Maybe I still do stand a chance, especially as one of my teams does have Kuyt in! I just wish that I hadn't taken Eboue and Matt Taylor out (I know, shoot me  ) but that is life! Martins? Maybe. Kitson if he makes it back? There's a lot of games before the TW so maybe, just maybe ...
