We assume these days that Google gives us everything! (well I do).

Thought this deserved a response. I saw something yesterday about the lulsec hackers who were arrested and how the bloke (?) who was working with police had all his private info put up on the dark web. It's a fascinating concept that we're all avid users of the 'net but that there's a secretive section of it that none of us ever venture to, nor would know how to.

I find it fascinating - as, when I first used the www - probably October 1995 - its felt amateur and small - and when you searched for stuff you got loads of odd home made sites.....

These days I pretty much circulate between google, facebook, bbc, guardian and FISO of course - and never seem to get much further!

Believe you need software such as Tor, Freenet or I2P. Must remember to check it out some time.

If we don't hear anything from you in a few days we'll send out a search party.

Or a spider with a torch.
