Just wondering if anybody had ever bought one of these. I need a very basic system and set up and would welcome any tips.

Thanks in advance.....

At work we used these guys but probably as they were local so could come out and set it up etc http://www.haven-systems.co.uk/

It is pretty simple to use.. I think you can stick all your items onto a excel sheet using a template they give you and upload itonto the epos, it generates barcodes etc..

I think you should see whos around locally as they will be able to offer better support?

We used a Ranger system http://www.ranger.com but it was specialist use for record shops. Excellent system but EPOS are only as good as the operators.

Suggest you get a system that allows bulk uploading via bar codes and highlights any potential incorrect prices.

You probably don't need all the report features we had but you should get daily, weekly stock suggestions.

Plenty on the market but just ensure you have immediate help line back up and go with a company that has been around for a decent time.

Good luck

Guys - thanks for the replies

It turns out that what I needed was very basic in the grand scheme so I was able to go cheap and cheerful.
