I suppose I'm out of the running for that
Ridsdale said it would be OK to spend as the prize money would make up for it.

The question is, can you remain in the black for 3 more gameweeks?

I think this should be a two season league :) My fantastic tactics failed spectacularly for too long, so my move from relegation to Champions League is too late!

Good comp, thanks Brian.

Surely Nathan247 is this tournament's QPR, and has conducted some financial irregularity?!

I agree.

Also, Brian, I think this has been a fantastic game, great idea. One that I would definitely like to see next season. (I assume you will be giving your guinea pigs aka us, first refusal on places? :D

I'd love to run it again, time permitting. What has everyone thought?

More transfer windows?
Bigger squads?
Captains scoring double?
Chance to change your entire squad once a season?
In other words, more interaction or less, or is it about right?

etc etc

If you don't have the time Brian, I will happily step up and run it. I have been looking to organise a side game for some time, but never had the right idea ;-)

Re your question on our thoughts -

Captains scoring double would be a good idea - but maybe we have to pay our captain 1.5 x his salary?
More transfer window's could work too.
I don't think there is a need to change entire squads once a season though.

Atm the amount of interaction is about right though.

One of the ideas I had was to split the season in three, each of about 13 gameweeks. Within each third, there would be a month of scoring points, then a month of transfer window and then another month of just scoring points. At the end of the 13 weeks, everyone would start from scratch again with their squads, just keeping their league results and money problems.

But that may be a step too far!

Thanks for the offer, Richt. I'll let you know during the close season :-)

Thoroughly enjoyed the game despite bankrupting my team.
I like the idea of captains scoring double but as mentioned before maybe pay them a bonus.
How about awarding cash to a team when one of their players scores a hat trick?
I think the number of transfer windows is OK and I'm not keen on the entire change once a season.

Thanks for running it.

I also enjoyed it, cheers
Captains double is a good idea, gives us some input each week, choosing who that is

Not many clean sheets around this weekend, and the only big news is the dismissal of Surprised after Dempsey, the only outfield player left in the squad, walked out having not been paid for the second time this season.

In a remarkable turn of events, SUZYKINS has been installed as caretaker for the final week. He gets to choose six strikers to try and hold off the challenge for 3rd palce from BFM.

Im over the moon, but at the end of the day, its all about getting a result, we have always taken each day as it comes, and we will give it 110%.If we dont hold on to 3rd I will be as sick as a parrot, but as always its just a game of two halves, but surprized is a good lad, but this post is like a poisoned chalice, but we will set our stall out early doors, and try to get something out of this, after all its a six pointer, but its a massive game for us, at the buisiness end of the season.
There are no easy games now,but we need a result, and its just 1 game, but I would love it if we beat them LOVE IT!

Richt wins manager of the season for having the biggest bank balance at the end of the season, a whopping £5,720,000!

Thanks everyone for playing. Any suggestions about the game, just post them here!

So, ideas for next season...

Captains scoring double - should they also be paid double? How often should the captain change? Could you choose not to have a captain?

I think getting rid of transfer windows would be good. There's already enough of a punishment for getting rid of a player (paying 4x wage) and, to be honest, the transfer windows weren't really used that much!

Should the number of outfield players be increased to 6? More games were lost than won!

Thanks Brian, I hadn't the foggiest idea about how the transfers worked so left them.

One thing I would like to see perhaps is a player v player format, like in Fisodas.

I think it would make it more competitive.

For example, if I won 1-0 (defence clean, scorers one goal), and my opponent scored 2-0, he's beaten me 1-0 etc. A league based on that way of doing thing would be workable. Perhaps increase the numbers to 10 or 12, meaning 5/6 games weekly.

Just an idea...

I did think about that, but thought it might get too similar to Fisodas. Also, there isn't a great deal of interaction with the game, which makes it much more appealing than Fisodas for some.

Still, something to bear in mind so thanks for the comments :-)

As it was the little children of my players went hungry.
