been thinking about this for a while.... :?

i'm really not sure if it could work but basically there would be ten fisoers in a league.

they'd be no budget.....( could be though ) and basically we'd take it in turns to pick a player, then once he's been picked no one else can have him.

they'd be 11 players in your team and we'd stick to the suns scoring.

obvious problems would be that all ten people would have to be online for maybe one hour at the same time to make the selection process quick otherwise it could drag on for days, weeks, months :lol:

plus i don't know how you'd work transfer windows either between teams or unused players, maybe release the players you want rid of and then take it in turns to bring players in??

any thoughts on whether this would be feasable or anyone interested?

I think no budget, take it turns to pick a player, we'd have to do a lucky dip to see who picks first and then in what order

fisoer 1. rooney
2 terry
3 de gea
4 holt
5

2
etc etc

then at transfer windows bin the 3 players you don't want we'll have to create a unattached list and then repeat the selection process to bring in another 3 players

think it could be good, obviously would just be a free comp for a bit of a trial

So it's basiclly a draft like the americans use to pick there fantasy teams. They normally go from 1-10 and then back from 10-1.
For the transfer windows you could possibly give bottom of the league 1st choice and then work upwards so the worst team could have the best choice, maybe this would keep the league closer.

i think either all agree to be online for an hour one night/day if possible and pick that way or post picks on a thread over 2 days but that could be long and painful, people might not be about...

Do we still have the chat facility on FISO…. if you could get all the ten teams in a given league to be online at the same time, then that'd be the way to go.

Could even be a way of allocating teams into leagues;

who's available 19:00 Tuesday….. bang League A
who's available 20:00 Saturday…. roberts your mums brother, League B.

I would suggest you need at least 10 teams per league.
You can do it with less… but it makes it a bit too easy to pick a team.

With 10, people start having to take punts.

Two choices a day from Aug 1st?

I like the 1-10, then 10-1 idea, so 10th has to name 11 players, and 1 20 players.....

(Going with more than 10 could make it a pain.)

if we have fiso chat still then how hard can it be to get ten people online at the same time for an hour?

maybe if demand do two leagues, randomly allocate fisoers and do the picking 1-10, then 10-1

at the 5 transfer windows all bin off three if required and then do as deppy says bottom to top to select 10-1, 1-10, 10-1

ii wouldn't use a budget and maybe not even all 5 tranny windows maybe just 2?

I would definitely be interested.
I think the idea to have less than 5 transfer windows preferable.
Even though it would be based on SDT scoring would we all have to have the same formation?

Suggest keeping the transfer windows to a minimum, five will make it quite time intensive for you to run.

I'll do a random draw allocating everyone 1-10, and we'll pick from 1-10, then 10-1, 1-10 etc etc until we all have 11 players.

it must be a 442 or 433 and thats it....no budget

we'll have two transfer windows one at tw2 and one at tw4 - fair? at the transfer window list the 1-3 players you want shot of and then we'll go from bottom of the league to top for transfers in so 10-1 and then 1-10, 10-1.

you can pick in any order it doesn't have to be goalies first or the like

when do we want to do the draw, near the season start how would wednesday 3rd august sound 4pm-5pm? everyone about then for an hour? we'll do it on this thread or on fiso chat - you'll need a pan and paper :lol:

Sounds good Dan, I will probably be able to make it. University doesn't start until september, so will be kicking dust anyway. A draft draw is fun- sadly, this is something to look forward to :lol:

My official working hours ar 8:30 to 5:30 so can't guarantee being on line at one specific time.

Have you spoken to Bspittles about this? As he has done a auction game before and worked it so you didnt all have to be oinline at the same time.

Can I just clarify;

For the initial auction... its 1 - 10, then number 10 gets another pick and back down to 1 (but he then only gets a single pick).

Does that make sense (and is that what you are planning).

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 / 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 / 2 3 4 etc etc

is that fair, first gets to pick first but then waits for another 19 picks to pick again?? would 1-10. 1-10. 1-10 be better??
